“La Notte” by Michelangelo Antonioni, 1961
In Antonioni’s Milan, architecture is never just a backdrop.
Facades, balconies, windows, and distant towers compose a restrained urban landscape, where space becomes a reflection of inner states rather than a setting for action.
The city unfolds through lines, volumes, and intervals. Light settles on surfaces, time seems to pause, and silence acquires its own presence.
Modern, vertical, introspective, Milan emerges as a mental landscape, where emptiness and matter contribute as much to the narrative as the characters themselves.

A contemporary retreat shaped by contrast.
In this apartment in Bucharest, designed by DOF Interiors, dark surfaces, essential volumes, and carefully calibrated materials create an atmosphere of depth and quiet intensity.
The project unfolds through a balance of rigor and softness, where architecture and interior design work together to shape a fluid, immersive living experience.
Within this composition, every element contributes to a precise spatial identity, one that feels both sophisticated and deeply personal.

Changing Milano
Niccolò Biddau, Photo Publisher, 2019
Milan is a city in constant transformation.
Its beauty often emerges through restraint: sharp volumes, mineral surfaces, concrete textures, light and shadow held in delicate balance.
Between modernist heritage, brutalist architecture, and contemporary reinterpretations, the urban landscape becomes a language of matter, proportion, and rhythm.
A vision that extends beyond architecture itself, shaping interiors where depth, structure, and authenticity coexist with quiet elegance.
A way of inhabiting the present through culture, materiality, and an enduring sense of place.

A contemporary stage set inspired by Rome.
Marble surfaces, mirrored volumes, and decorative wallcoverings compose an interior suspended between memory and reinvention.
The subjects from the Arcadia Collection echo the visual language of ancient Rome through columns, sculptural figures, and graphic rhythms, reinterpreted with lightness and precision.
More than decoration, the surfaces shape atmosphere, perspective, and perception.

Rome. An endless source of inspiration.
It belongs to no single era and to everyone’s imagination.
A continuous layering of histories, visions, and languages.
Between classical architecture, unexpected perspectives, and details that emerge almost by chance, the city shapes an aesthetic that constantly renews itself without ever losing memory of its past.
A timeless presence, still capable of suggesting new possibilities of expression.

A figure emerging from myth, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.
In Silvanus wallcovering of Arcadia Collection, the visual language of Greco-Roman classicism is translated into a refined composition of architectural references and narrative detail.
Sculptural elements recall the sinopias of ancient frescoes, while sharp, defined strokes give rhythm and clarity to the scene. The wallcovering evokes an ideal of beauty rooted in epic tradition where space becomes a stage for timeless stories.

“La Dolce Vita” by Federico Fellini, 1960
Rome, at night.
In the Trevi Fountain scene, the city withdraws from its monumental presence.
Architecture remains but as a backdrop, a quiet stage.
Light, water, and movement dissolve its solidity into atmosphere. What was once structure becomes narrative.
Figures, spaces, and details unfold in layers, like a theatrical composition suspended in time.
Here, the classical is never fixed. It lives, transforms, and becomes part of a new visual story.

A contemporary stay overlooking ancient Rome.
In the heart of the Eternal City, this apartment is conceived as a dialogue between space, history, and perspective.
The project unfolds from a simple yet defining gesture: a 45-degree rotation that reorients the interior toward the Colosseum and the Ludus Magnus. A geometric intervention that becomes both spatial guide and narrative device.
Marble surfaces, deep tones, and reflective elements shape a scenographic composition where classical references meet a contemporary language with precision and restraint.

In Italy, beauty is never just an aesthetic. It is a way of being.
Born in the collective imagination with Federico Fellini’s films, “la dolce vita” lives on in gestures and in the quiet elegance of everyday moments.
Reflections, conversations, time without urgency.
A balance between elegance and spontaneity that still endures.
