This happened on my way to Proceno: had been looking at wonderful places all day and I was blessed one more time with this beautiful sunset on Bolsena Lake. We have the greatest job in the world: see and feel beauty, be inspired and find incredible places and people to share these wonderful emotions with our guests!

So lucky to have such a friend/colleague/university pal to take me around! We are here in Monterano and we're considering a horseback ride to the abandoned town, she even brought some delicious pizza with pecorino cheese and some 123473 calories fried chocolate buns for our pic nic by the beautiful church and.... we didn't stop there!

The 4 of us in there, can you believe it? Friday morning and probably thousands of people jammed between Colosseum and Vatican while we quietly visited this incredible place, in and out, being the only ones there... plus a cleaner mopping the floor!

Since my parents bought a house in Proceno, exactly between the three regions of Lazio, Umbria and Toscana I have been wondering around the area. I never thought I would find so many incredible places, all close to each other, between 15 and 50 mins drive there are villages, archaeological ruins, towns, Renaissance villas, gardens, forests, but also wineries, olive oil farms, artisans...this area is magical and I really hope we will be able convince ant least some of our guests to abandon the so called "highlights" to walk through the same streets and paths and wonder, the same way I have, to this incredible piece of land and meet the incredible people that live here ❤️.

I love this place and I find it unbelievable that NO ONE has ever heard of it nor is interested in seeing it. One of the best, most impressive, best preserved, examples of Renaissance life, art and architecture in the world. THIS is a MUST SEE!

No one knows but close to Rome and surrounded by incredible beauty both natural and artistic, lies Viterbo. Isn't it precious?
