Often during the practice I remind my students to focus on their breathing and body sensations. By bringing mindful attention to our breath and the sensations in our body as we move, we can anchor ourselves in the present moment. Rather than getting caught up in thoughts about the past or worries about the future, we gently return to the here and now.
This simple practice helps calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and create a greater sense of balance and harmony. As we become more aware of our body, breath, and emotions, we strengthen our ability to respond to life’s challenges with presence and awareness, rather than reacting automatically.
Through breath, movement, and mindful attention, yoga invites us to reconnect with ourselves, cultivate inner calm, and experience a deeper sense of grounding, clarity, gratitude and well-being.

Spesso durante la pratica ricordo ai miei allievi di portare l’attenzione al respiro e alle sensazioni del corpo. Quando portiamo l’attenzione consapevole al respiro e alle sensazioni che emergono nel corpo mentre ci muoviamo, possiamo tornare nel momento presente. Invece di lasciarci trascinare dai pensieri sul passato o dalle preoccupazioni per il futuro, impariamo a tornare con gentilezza al qui e ora.
Questa semplice pratica aiuta a calmare il sistema nervoso, ridurre lo stress e creare un maggiore senso di equilibrio e armonia. Man mano che diventiamo più consapevoli del nostro corpo, del respiro e delle emozioni, rafforziamo la capacità di rispondere alle sfide della vita con presenza e consapevolezza, invece di reagire in modo automatico.
Attraverso il respiro consapevole, il movimento e la mindfulness, lo yoga ci invita a riconnetterci con noi stessi, coltivare la calma interiore e sperimentare un senso più profondo di radicamento, chiarezza, gratitudine e benessere.

What happens during a KA session?
In a KA session, participants lie down comfortably on a mat with their eyes closed while a specific playlist is played. I guide the experience by placing or moving my hands near different points of the body.
Every person has their own experience. Some people notice spontaneous body movements, emotional release, or visual imagery; others feel calm, grounded, or deeply relaxed. There is no “right way” for it to look. The key is to trust the process, stay open, and allow your body and mind to respond naturally, almost like entering a meditative, dream-like state while awake.
The nervous system can continue integrating the experience for a few days, which is why people often report clarity, emotional lightness, or shifts in awareness after the session.
KA is especially powerful for anyone who feels stuck in “autopilot mode” and is looking for a more conscious, present, and connected way of living. It offers a safe space for inner exploration, emotional reset, and personal development.
Cosa succede durante una sessione di KAE?
Durante una sessione di KAE i partecipanti si sdraiano comodamente su un tappetino, con gli occhi chiusi, mentre viene riprodotta una playlist specifica. Io guido l’esperienza posizionando o muovendo le mani vicino a diversi punti del corpo.
Ogni persona vive un’esperienza diversa. Alcuni percepiscono movimenti spontanei del corpo, rilasci emotivi o immagini interiori; altri sentono calma, radicamento o un profondo rilassamento. Non esiste un modo “giusto” in cui dovrebbe accadere. La chiave è affidarsi al processo, rimanere aperti e permettere al corpo e alla mente di rispondere in modo naturale — quasi come entrare in uno stato meditativo, simile al sogno, pur rimanendo svegli.
Il sistema nervoso può continuare a integrare l’esperienza per alcuni giorni, motivo per cui molte persone riportano maggiore chiarezza, leggerezza emotiva o cambiamenti nella percezione dopo la sessione.
Il KA è particolarmente utile per chi si sente bloccato nel “pilota automatico” e desidera vivere in modo più consapevole, presente e connesso. Offre uno spazio sicuro per l’esplorazione interiore, la regolazione emotiva e la trasformazione personale.

Discover the Path to Inner Strength and Flow
Join us for Kidney Flowing Waters, a sacred circle dedicated to transformation, healing and authentic connection.
Somatic Sanctuary is a monthly in-person gathering for women to explore the depths of their souls, align with their true purpose and emerge empowered to live authentically.
Each month, we focus on a unique theme inspired by the energy of specific organs, weaving together somatic awareness, emotional expression and spiritual alignment. Through guided movement, mindfulness and soulful conversation, we’ll tap into the body’s innate intelligence to reclaim vitality, strengthen resilience and connect to the truths within.
This Month’s Theme: Kidney Flowing Waters
The kidneys, as seen in Traditional Chinese Medicine, are deeply connected to our capacity to trust, process fear and access inner clarity.
Their link to the spine reminds us of our core strength and support. When out of balance, the kidneys may reflect fear, sometimes felt as tension in the lower back.
Guided by the intuitive energy of Pisces, we’ll work to release what no longer serves us, surrender to the flow of love and compassion and embrace the subtleties and undercurrents of life. This practice will help us rehydrate physically, emotionally and energetically thus allowing us to tap into our inner strength and trust in the innate flow of our bodies.
