Sketching Rome Tours

Spring is in full swing and so are our sketching tours.

We are blessed with gorgeous sunny weather, perfect for capturing those deep blue Roman skies and colorful buildings!

We have finished for the season with winter coming and now only offer sketching tours on request until next spring.

Our final day was magical with the moon hanging behind Apollo’s Temple throughout the morning!

As the seasons change and we move into fall, the weather can be unpredictable.

When it began to rain on our morning sketch tour we ducked into this church and were mesmerized.

This became its own sketching experience- completely spontaneous and totally inspiring.

One of many wonderful aspects of sketching is being open to what the moment presents us with 🌟

One of the biggest joys is sketching with children. I always learn some much from their fresh and creative ideas, kids love to see the world through sketching!
This year we have been fortunate to have more kids than ever join sketching tours. I love to see parents encouraging their children’s talent.

Most of us loved drawing as kids, remembering that joy is probably the best part of having the opportunity to sketch with others here in Rome.

The summer calendar on our website has been updated and we will be running sketch tours multiple times a week through the end of September.

Even if we sketched side by side, our points of view were completely different with equally great results!

Painting watercolors is the best part of our sketching tour for some, as it color can bring our sketches to life.
No 2 people will ever see the world in the same way, which is just one of the many beautiful things about being out and sketching Rome together!
