Aligns

of the early demos included the talented drummer Rashad King who helped Babot give birth to the bands initial sound. When they decided to take the project to the live stage in 2010, Aligns consisted of Barbot (guitar and vocals), Soshi Uchida (bass) and Mark Bell (drums). In 2014 the trio became a duo when Uchida returned to Japan. As a two-piece, the band obtained substantial recognition for being one of the winners of Afropunk's "Battle of the Bands" which lead them to open up for Lenny Kravitz and Gary Clark Jr at Afropunk Festival in the summer of 2015. In 2020, Aligns became one of the bands featured in CD Projekt Reds videogame Cyberpunk 2077. The band has released six studio albums and they are currently working on their seventh which will come out in 2021, ten years after their debut.
