Sustainability begins with the way we shape public space.

The new Cittadella of Rimini is designed as more than a collection of buildings—it is conceived as a new urban landscape, where architecture, nature and civic life become part of the same ecosystem.

A former enclosed site is transformed into an accessible public park, crossed by pedestrian and cycling routes, animated by civic spaces and surrounded by generous greenery. Rain gardens, green roofs, water-sensitive design and nearly 500 new trees contribute to climate resilience while improving biodiversity, reducing the urban heat island effect and enhancing everyday comfort.

At the building scale, passive design strategies, renewable energy systems and smart technologies ensure long-term environmental performance. At the urban scale, open spaces become the project's most sustainable infrastructure: places that encourage walking, meeting, sharing and reconnecting people with their city.

Because truly sustainable architecture doesn't stop at the building.
It creates better places to live.✨

Every architectural detail tells a story.

For the New Security Citadel, the façade is designed to express a new vision of public institutions: solid, enduring and approachable.

The architecture is built on a clear composition. A robust precast concrete base anchors each building to the ground, conveying permanence and security while integrating all the technical and service functions. Above, a lightweight modular façade of vertical aluminium elements introduces depth, light and rhythm, giving the buildings a refined and contemporary character.

The façade is not simply an aesthetic choice. Its modular design allows the buildings to evolve over time, making construction faster, maintenance easier and future adaptations more efficient.

A simple architectural language, where materials, proportion and modularity work together to create buildings designed to last—for both the city and the institutions they serve.

Our proposal for the New Security Citadel in Rimini starts from a simple idea: public architecture should not separate people—it should bring them together.

A former enclosed military site is reimagined as an open urban park, where institutions become part of everyday life, public spaces invite connection, and architecture creates opportunities for meeting, walking and belonging.

More than a collection of buildings, this is a vision for a new civic landscape—one where security is expressed through openness, trust and accessibility, and where regeneration is measured not only in new spaces, but in new relationships between the city and its people.

As Studio Transit, we’ll be joining together with our associate Lorenzo Langella, who will present:
“Skin or Dress? The transformation of the envelope’s role in relation to context”
An opportunity to reflect on the dual nature of the façade:
as a dress, expression and language, and as a skin, a performative and technological element.

A moment dedicated to sustainable innovation and the future of building envelopes.

The wood-effect sublimated vertical elements of the façade of "La Perla", meticulously developed down to the finest detail, find their expression in the built work.

Conceived as a defining architectural device, they articulate the character and rhythm of the elevation, contributing to the identity of this new residential complex within the broader development of Monti della Breccia.

The translation of a design concept into built form reaffirms the continuity between project and realization. ✨️

We have some very exciting news! ✨️
The Ponte dei Congressi project, on which we developed the architectural image together with a team guided by Eng. Enzo Siviero, has officially been handed over for construction.

A major milestone for a long-awaited infrastructure that is now entering its operational phase. We’re proud to have contributed to shaping its architectural vision and look forward to seeing it come to life.
