This summer, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of Education Abroad counselors to Temple University Rome for our annual Fly-In Weekend!
Over a few days, they experienced life as a Temple Rome student—exploring our campus, visiting the residence halls, discovering the city, meeting our staff, and learning more about the academic and cultural opportunities available in Rome.
Thank you to all the counselors who joined us. We loved sharing our community, our city, and the unique study abroad experience that makes Temple Rome so special.
We look forward to welcoming future Temple students to Rome soon!
Temple Rome students had the opportunity to attend the Chamber Music Festival at Teatro Argentina, one of Rome’s oldest and most historic theaters, thanks to complimentary tickets provided by Temple University Rome.
An unforgettable evening of world-class music in a stunning setting, bringing students closer to Rome’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.

A few Temple Rome students spent June 2 soaking up the energy of Italy’s national holiday, watching the military parade, catching the spectacular air show overhead, exploring the city, and grabbing some great food along the way. To top it all off, they even got to see the police es**rt pass by at the end of the day.
Not a bad way to experience Rome and celebrate Festa della Repubblica!
Students explored the science of pH using red cabbage extract as a natural indicator, testing a variety of common household substances and observing the vibrant color changes that occurred. A fun, hands-on lab that turned chemistry into a rainbow of discoveries and sparked plenty of curiosity along the way.

To close out their four-week Dance Intensive Program, students presented Works in Progress, a stunning series of original pieces choreographed from the heart. Inspired by their time living and learning in Rome, each work transformed personal experiences into movement and storytelling.
Guided by Professor Jillian Harris, these talented artists drew inspiration from cobblestone streets, ancient ruins, and golden Roman afternoons, bringing the spirit of the city to life through dance.

No visit to Italy is complete without gelato—one of the country’s most iconic and beloved traditions. Whether enjoyed during a stroll through Rome or as a break between classes and activities, gelato is a simple way to experience Italian culture and daily life.
For our Summer 2026 students, sharing a gelato together was a sweet moment to relax, connect with friends, and enjoy one of Italy’s most famous treats.
Students enjoyed spending time at Italy on Film, a film series showcased in the Temple Rome Gallery, watching films from different periods of Italian history.
It’s a great place to slow down, relax, and discover classic Italian cinema, with English subtitles available throughout the day. Through film, students gained a deeper appreciation of Italy’s culture, history, and storytelling traditions while enjoying a unique cultural experience right on campus.
