As Ramadan is coming to an end and we are at the dawn of El Aïd, here is a short glimpse of The Great the Mosque of Kairouan, also known as the Okba Ibn Nafaâ mosque. 🕌
It is one of the oldest sanctuaries in the Western Muslim world. But it is also one of the most prestigious mosques and one of the few religious buildings in Islam to have retained its appearance from the first centuries of the Hegira.
