When people see Jon training, they see the workout.
What they don't see is the journey behind it.
Jon comes from a direct lineage of Joseph Pilates — 3rd generation. He started as a kid in the 90s, long before Pilates became a trend. That foundation shaped everything.
Today he's an orthopedic physiotherapist, certified Pilates teacher, and co-founder of the Plexus Method — where 25 years of natural bodybuilding meets rehabilitation science and one of the most authentic movement lineages in the world.
Strength. Control. Precision. Functionality.
Not a program. A methodology.
After all of it, he's still showing up. Still learning. Still proving consistency beats quick fixes every time.
Not because it's easy.
Because it's worth it.

3 lessons I've learned after 15+ years of teaching:

✓ Read the person in front of you, not the program.

✓ Keep your cueing simple and effective.

✓ Build trust before trying to impress.

Knowledge matters. But empathy, observation, and connection are what truly make a great teacher.

What would you add to the list? 👇

People often ask me how I stay fit at 40.
The answer isn't one workout.
It's years of movement.
Pilates. Strength training. Yoga. Walking. The Plexus Method, Horseback Riding, Dancing
I've often said that movement saved me. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
When I make time to take care of myself, I become a better mother, partner, coach, and friend.
Today my VO₂ Max is in the "Excellent" range for my age.
But this isn't about a number.
It's about showing up for yourself, day after day, and discovering what you're truly capable of. Persistence is key, the rest will follow!

What makes a great teacher?

As a teacher trainer, this is something I've thought about a lot over the years.

Education matters.

Continuing education matters.

Technical skill matters.

Our clients deserve professionals who understand movement, anatomy, progression, and safety. But one of the biggest lessons I've learned in over 15 years of teaching is this:

Empathy is key.

It's not about rigidly following the plan you had prepared for that day.

It's not about delivering the perfect class exactly as it was written.

It's about seeing who is in front of you.

Whether it's one person, two people, or a room full of clients.

It's about reading the room.

Understanding the energy.

Recognizing when someone needs encouragement, when someone needs to be challenged, and when someone simply needs to feel safe.

The best teachers don't just teach exercises.

They teach people.

And people are different every single day.

Knowledge attracts.

Connection retains.

In my experience, clients may forget the exercise you taught them, but they rarely forget how you made them feel.

❤️

What's the most important quality you've experienced in a great teacher?

Hey guys — as many of you know, I’ve been in Riyadh for a while now, and honestly, one thing that keeps impressing me is how incredible the fitness scene is here. The gyms, the energy, the people, the level of investment into wellness… it’s on another level.
Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time training, exploring different spaces, meeting people, and working behind the scenes on some exciting new things that are slowly starting to take shape.

This video was shot UFC Gym Al Olaya, and I have to say — the quality of gyms here in Saudi is seriously amazing.

A lot of new things are cooking right now, and I’m really excited for what’s ahead. Looking forward to connecting with more people here in Riyadh who are passionate about movement, performance, health, rehabilitation, and training at a high level.

More soon 👊

I'm turning 40 this year. And I've been doing this for a long time.
Honestly? I'm grateful. Not everyone gets to feel this way in their body at this age — and I don't take that lightly.
Something I can't unsee since I've been deep in this work: how much we all sit. The average is 164 hours a month. Help!!!

And then people tell me they're scared to lift weights because they don't want to look bulky. I want to debunk that right now. 2 to 3 hours of strength training a week will not make you bulky. It will make you healthy. It will keep your joints strong, your metabolism awake, your posture upright. That's it.

Research is clear — movement is one of the strongest predictors of longevity. Not just how long you live. How well. Muscle mass after 40 is directly linked to independence, cognitive function, and quality of life as you age. You're not training for aesthetics. You're training for your future self.

This is what Plexus is about. Not perfection. Not performance. Just — keep moving. Keep your body in the game.

You have more time than you think. And less than you want to waste.

The other day my daughter asked if she could join me on my run. Not because I asked her. Just because she wanted to be with me. 🥹

And recently my son had school holidays — the kid who loves nothing more than sleeping in — and the first thing he asked was if he could come to the gym with us.

I used to do what every parent does. Soccer, gymnastics, dance, basketball… you name it, we tried it. And none of it stuck. Not one thing. So I stopped pushing.

Because what I realised is that the most powerful thing you can do as a parent has nothing to do with signing them up for the right sport.

It's leading by example. Every single day they watch us move, they see how we feel, they see the energy it gives us. And slowly, quietly, they want that too.

So if you're a parent — don't stress about finding the right activity. Focus on the fun and the consistency of movement. Make it part of your life and they will make it part of theirs.

Teach them young 💪🤍

Sitting all day weakens your abs.
Posture drops. The core switches off.

Most people ignore it until pain shows up.

Abs from your chair.
Short, focused movement you can do during the workday to wake up your core and support your body in minutes.

Building a company with your partner changes everything.
No masks.
No pretending.
You learn fast what’s real — and what isn’t.
That’s how Plexus was built. Years of persistence. Learning constantly through real clients. Some of them still training with us after nearly 20 years.
Nothing makes us prouder than seeing people stay strong, healthy — and in some cases even reverse conditions like osteoporosis through consistent work.
We never chased trends.
We co-founded our own method.
And we learned how to grow — not just as founders, but as partners.
So expansion isn’t a sudden move.
It’s simply the next evolution.
No rushing.
No big announcements.
Just opening the door to a bigger horizon.

I often get asked:
“How long can you work out during pregnancy?”
My honest answer is simple:as long as you feel good. This photo was taken at 37 weeks, during my second pregnancy.I stayed active the whole way through — listening to my body, adapting, slowing down when needed, moving when it felt right. And still…
I ended up having an emergency C-section.
That experience taught me something important I always share with women now:
Movement is powerful. Preparation is wise.
But pregnancy and birth are not something we fully control.
You can do “everything right” and still need to pivot.
And that doesn’t mean you failed — it means you responded.
So if you’re pregnant and moving:
• Move to feel good, not to prove something
• Respect your energy day by day
• Strength is also flexibility
• Planning is great — being adaptable is greater
Your body is intelligent.
Trust it. Support it. Be kind to it. 🤍
Every pregnancy. Every birth. Every woman — different.
