A wonderful enjoyment of living in the countryside is to have fresh local ingredients and the habit of trading food with neighbours and close ones. This month our kitchen shelves have been overflowing of colourful pumpkins and pomegranates that are almost too picturesque to eat. Vivid shades of red and orange presenting the crispy autumn season.
