New from The Last Domino page...

A new week starts and a new update for you all... During the weekend I finally took the courage of setting up my gear to try out my vocal skills and see what was left over from my previous experiences... Vocal cords are controlled by muscles that need to workout to properly function so over the last few weeks I have been practicing little by little with warm up excercizes and pitch control routines just to smooth up the sound of the voice and get it in shape. But singing songs is a different story and that was the big jump I had to do to get to the other side... I hadn't done anything in three years so I was a bit nervous... In your mind nothing has changed so the approach is the same as always... But the weight of those years of doing nothing will show right away and present its bill... I was prepared for that and although it wasn't my best moment it wasn't disastrous either... I presume it will take another month from now to get into a rehearsal studio with the band for our first proper meet up... In between I might even record a snippet or two to show you the process of getting back in my old shoes... I know singers understand what I am saying... This whole thing made me think of one of my favorite Genesis songs from the WCD album (a B side to be precise)... "On the Shoreline" is a song about pushing the boundaries, have the courage of jumping into the water and go to the other side of things, embrace the new, the unknown future... It might be good, it might be bad... Who knows... But standing still doesn't get you anywhere, right? That's the spirit and the challenge to do things instead of waiting for something to happen out of the blue... Control your own faith... Genesis never played it live but we might... Thanks for being here with us... You won't be disappointed... Promised 🤞😁
