DDoSecrets
Distributed Denial of Secrets Distributed Denial of Secrets is 501c3 non-profit devoted to enabling the free transmission of data in the public interest.
We aim to avoid political, corporate or personal leanings, to act as a beacon of available information. As a transparency collective, we don't support any cause, idea or message beyond ensuring that information is available to those who need it most—the people. Data we index must meet two criteria:
Is it in the public interest? Can a prima facie case be made for the veracity of its contents?
We have a new search engine, a new subscription system, and a new security device for our long-term users. Good things ahead:
Introducing the DDoSecrets library system - Distributed Denial of Secrets A 501(c)(3) dedicated to archiving and publishing hacked and leaked data.

NEW: According to leaked documents, the Israeli government maneuvered behind the scenes to influence a high-profile spyware trial in the US. Three years after the , DDoSecrets provided exclusive access to data to Forbidden Stories. Along with six international media partners we reveal how the Israeli government tried to protect information from a lawsuit. Here’s what we found out in a new data leak ⬇️
In October 2019, (now Meta) sued Group in the USA for allegedly abusing the messaging platform WhatsApp to hack the phones of 1,400 targets. The lawsuit has gained wide support from other tech companies, NGOs, and scholars.
Less than a year later, the Israeli government requested the Ministry of Justice to seize NSO documentation in order to prevent the disclosure of information deemed to cause “grave damage to the State of Israel's national security and foreign relations,” we can reveal today.
We also show how the state of also maneuvered to keep the seizure secret through a gag order on information about the seizure of files. This publication ban effectively prevented Israeli media –including our Israeli partners– from publishing information about the seizure.
“Such revelations call into question Israel's commitment to impartially regulate NSO Group and casts doubt on its ability to provide justice, truth and reparation to those affected by spyware,” said Donncha Ó Cearbhaill, Head of the Security Lab at Amnesty International.

I will be speaking at HOPE, the biannual event put on by 2600 - The Hacker Quarterly and friends, in New York City, this month. Come see us! Talk abstract: "Whatever you call it - transparency project, publication collective, or journalism tech - Distributed Denial of Secrets has built the world's largest library of once-secret information, publishing over 100 million leaked files from 60 countries. Including all the pending publications, DDoSecrets has grown larger than the Library of Congress. Like an "endless scroll" of social media, terabytes of data get regularly liberated from cartels, governments, and corporations. Mixed in with the stream of useful leaks is a flood of disinformation, bolstered by AI-powered deepfakes and state-sponsored troll farms. How are we adapting - or failing to adapt? How can hackers and data journalists collaborate to navigate the ransomware blogs, breach forums, and hacktivist Discord channels of variable quality? Core DDoSecrets members Emma Best and Lorax Horne come together to discuss the greatest challenges of today's leaks librarians, and what the future of source protection looks like in a world saturated by misinformation and capitalism."
