We’re excited to introduce Marco Ferri

🎷✨ From classical excellence to the vibrant world of jazz, Marco Ferri has built a career that blends technique, passion, and artistic versatility.

Graduated in Classical Saxophone and Clarinet at the conservatories of Parma and Modena, Marco has earned prestigious awards including the Massimo Urbani Prize, Vittoria Jazz Awards, and Incroci Sonori.

Over the years, he has shared the stage and recording studio with international jazz legends such as Benny Golson, Paolo Fresu, Fabrizio Bosso, Gregory Hutchinson, Jerry Bergonzi, and many more.

Since 2016, he has been part of the Francesco Cafiso Nonet, performing at renowned festivals including Umbria Jazz and Vittoria Jazz Festival. He is also the artistic director of JAZZ IN’IT Festival in Vignola and conductor of the Jazz In It Orchestra.

Alongside his jazz career, Marco regularly performs with leading symphony orchestras including Orchestra dell’Arena di Verona, Fondazione Arturo Toscanini, Teatro Regio di Parma, and Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

A musician, educator, arranger, and even a Physics graduate specializing in acoustics and recording techniques — Marco Ferri represents the perfect meeting point between art and science. 🎶✨

Saxofollia è uno dei complessi da camera più originali e prolifici d'Italia, attivo dal 1993 e composto esclusivamente da sassofoni.
Specializzato nell'esecuzione a ca****la, il quartetto spazia con disinvoltura tra un repertorio che va dal barocco al romanticismo, dall'opera al jazz. Vincitori di numerosi concorsi nazionali e internazionali, portano in ogni concerto una rara combinazione di raffinatezza timbrica e versatilità artistica

We’re excited to introduce
Biccio Benevelli

A versatile musician, he graduated with top honors in Saxophone and Clarinet, refining his craft through studies with renowned masters and the European training program SUONI.

He has performed under conductors like R. Muti, E. Morricone, and N. Piovani, and collaborated with major orchestras such as Internazionale d’Italia, Toscanini Philharmonic, and the Saint Petersburg City Orchestra.

🎶 As a member of (8 international awards), he represented Italy at the World Sax Congress in Ljubljana and has recorded for ECM, Sony, Decca, and Rai Trade.

He has taken part in shows and projects alongside artists like Elio, Avion Travel, F. Concato, Alexia, and Fabio Armiliato.

🎼 He is conductor of the Briccialdi Big Band and collaborates with the Italian Sax Orchestra, Jazz Art Orchestra, and other ensembles across classical, jazz, and pop.

Let’s start with 🎷 Nicolas Prost — where tradition meets innovation.
SAXIANA

A modern and imaginative saxophonist, he blends classical and contemporary music with improvisation, voice, gesture, and electronics—constantly redefining the instrument’s possibilities.
From premiering over 100 new works to collaborating with leading composers and jazz legends, his artistic vision expands the saxophone repertoire across genres. With his crossover project Border Jazz, he bridges worlds, bringing new life to iconic sounds.
Beyond the stage, he is deeply engaged in research, education, and publishing, uncovering forgotten repertoire and shaping the next generation of musicians through teaching and masterclasses at top international institutions.

Award-winning artist, global performer, educator, and innovator—Nicolas Prost embodies the evolution of the saxophone today. ✨
