International workshop on "CULTIVATING THE IDEA OF BIODIVERSITY": inspiring talks, nice relational moments.

On June 6 and 7, 2023, at the Chiesa di S. Antonio Abate (STERI) the University of Palermo will host the international workshop “CULTIVATING THE IDEA OF BIODIVERSITY: The arts and their languages for an ecologist engagement in the public space”.

The workshop is promoted by Evanet in collaboration with the National Biodiversity Future Centre and focuses on biodiversity in order to explore declinations of the notion in the humanistic field. The aim is to set the methodological and conceptual framework to consider biodiversity as a transversal feature of sustainable culture and living. Hence the idea of a three-way dialogue involving philosophers, art historians, and scientists as keynotes.
Since arts and philosophy have become paramount in rethinking our attitude toward sustainability issues the workshop aims to start a multidisciplinary dialogue, stimulating ideas and planning future activities.
