Music to be heard with ears. Through and through. Over and over. No coherence or meaning. A slow rotating dial of information. In and out of focus between benches, beams, buffs, busses, butter, bars, bees, bumps, beens and boons. Luminous eyes around a small fire. Waiting for something to happen. These two movements. With 10 eyes divided onto 6 faces. Making small sounds as they roll clockwise. Then over the table... stumbling into everyday ghosts.

Someone mentioned a concert from the Becue Bakery last winter— seeing Alexander Holm play his encore on a the old dough mixer, seemingly speaking with the late baker’s clerk. As a follow up on his Head Stroll EP from june ’25 DIAL collects five tracks by Copenhagen based artist Alexander Holm and different collaborators. The project explores different form criterias for recording and composing with text, voices, instruments and sounds, e.g. through dice rolling, tracking of lost memories, guided imagery, a.o. The material originates from live shows, performed in both formal venues as well as in more spontaneous settings. Recorded between 2020-2025.

Alexander Holm - Dial is out on all platforms and if you are still reading here… there is also an double EP (as one LP) released on bandcamp.
Quite limited so don’t sleep on this amazing publication.

“This album was created over the past few years with my brother, Alfred. This period has been spiritually transformative for me. It reflects the playfulness and authenticity that emerge when deep traumas are released and old wounds begin to heal.

This music comes from a place of joy and connection—with my brother and with the essence of being a child: filter-free and in touch with the most uncomplicated and loving parts of ourselves. It still holds onto magic and mystery, the way childhood does, without asking for permission or confirmation.

It took me a long time to see this music as an interconnected piece. Along the way, I kept taking material in and out, remixing, removing, rearranging, reproducing, and regretting. But when we finally mastered this selection onto a cassette tape recorder, its meaning began to reveal itself, drawing threads back through time.

Bivabippalukka is playfulness, intuition, transition, and myth. It is the Page of Cups: ideas rising, energy flowing, flowers, stars, and jumping creatures on the verge of other dimensions. Fortune-telling, magic cards, secret caves, and things that disappear right in front of you.

Many talented guests have played with me and my visions throughout this album.

Bossa nova is the most comforting genre to me, and we need comfort in these times. We need comfort in order to heal, and we need joy to keep dreaming, manifesting, and transmuting the world.”
