On September 26 and 27, the Zerouno coupé, the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign and the Honda NSX Tribute by Italdesign took part in Festivalcar, the Concours d’Elegance held between Castello Cavour in Santena and Revigliasco Torinese.

Alongside them, a special guest: the Volkswagen Golf GTI, celebrating 50 years of combining sporting character with everyday practicality.

The line-up also featured Rapida, created in collaboration with IED.

A weekend that brought different chapters of automotive design together, in the company of those who share our passion.

What happens when time is designed to move?

For D1 Milano, Giugiaro Design developed a timepiece inspired by a world where speed, precision and aesthetics converge.

The asymmetrical 40 mm case combines irregular polished facets with satin surfaces, creating a dynamic play of light and a form that conveys movement even when standing still.
On the dial, 120 micro-notches set a precise mechanical rhythm, while red accents on the hands recall a distinctive element of Giugiaro Design’s visual language.

Just 7 mm thick, with the crown positioned at 4 o’clock and a Milanese mesh bracelet, the watch balances bold geometry with ergonomics and comfort.

Developed by Italdesign, the packaging extends the same design approach beyond the timepiece itself.

Nearly sixty years of vision, brought home to Turin.​

From September 11 to 13, eight vehicles from our history came together at the Giardini Reali for Salone Auto Torino, telling a story of design, engineering and product development working as one. Our return to the city where it all began also marked the start of the countdown to our 60th anniversary.​

40 millimetres. That is the height of the roof intake on the Honda 本田技研工業 NSX Tribute by Italdesign.

It references the NSX-R GT, not for aesthetic reasons, but because the functional logic of the original solution remained sound.

That decision shaped both the aerodynamic geometry and the homologation path simultaneously. It is a small number. It is also a precise example of what happens when heritage analysis, engineering constraints and production requirements are not handled in sequence, but resolved together.

The same integrated thinking extends to the staggered wheel set-up and the reinterpretation of the front end and headlights.

Fifty years of GT-R. Fifty years of Italdesign.

One car created to celebrate both. Born from the first collaboration between Nissan and Italdesign, the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign transforms the 2018 GT-R NISMO into a bespoke expression of performance.

Its roofline sits 54 millimetres lower, the iconic twin taillights become floating elements and custom 21-inch wheels sharpen its stance.

Beneath the new shape, the enhanced 3.8-litre V6 delivers an estimated 720 PS and 780 Nm.
