My entry for May 2021 Heroes Infinite painting Contest! Eskariell Mother of Moths!
3d printed model from current release.
I took inspiration from some real moths colours. As for the contest rules I needed to realise every basing elements by my own: mushrooms are sculpted with green stuff, milliput and crepe paper. The only 3d printed parts are the main mini, and the turquoise mushrooms which cames from August 2020 Winter fairies release. All the other elements are just natural materials like foliage or tendrils.
As always, thanks a lot to for the beautiful shoots.

My entry for this painting contest! It needed a very huge efforts to be completed within time! Mantis and Centaur from Lord of The Prints miniatures.
I call this scene "The first encounter".
I wanted to create a floral alien world, with strange and beautiful creatures and tons of colours and different plants. Lord of the prints miniatures are perfect to imagine an alien world. The mantis model fitted well to be reworked as a giant flower elemental. He already had those huge petals on his back, so the idea flowed spontaneously on my mind. Is he evil? Is he good? Or is he just interested in the little lifeform he just encountered within the woods, and wants to play with it?
I printed the centaur at 27% to give the right proportion to the scene. He is very small and it was a challenge to print and paint it.
Even if he is so small, he is very brave, and he is ready to fight for his life, even if the big monster in front of him is probably just curious.
The other challenging part was to assembly the elements and paint them without breaking any of the small sharp details. The whole scene and the big flowers are resin 3d printed, and all other details are from various and different diorama materials. The worst part of a scene like this is to put together a lot of colours without creating a confusing effect, and make them merge together. I hope the result reflects this and all the passion I put into this work!
Thanks to Enrico Ferraresi for his huge work and help with the photos. Without him I would be lost.
