Hello July! Thank you, God, for the blessing of a new month!

We are firm believers in the power of prayer (Matthew 18:20) and when we say we are praying for you, we really are, friend.

We have felt so honored to pray with those of you who have reached out to us via comment, message, text throughout the month of June, and we have incorporated your requests into a July calendar with daily prayer intentions.

You are loved, lifted up, and prayed for.
(We never share specific names or situations for your privacy- God knows who and what we are all praying for.✝️🙏)

We invite the whole GFS community to save this calendar and pray for each other daily.

With a new month, we reflect on all that the month brings- birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, milestones, memories, etc…. And with all of these precious life events, many emotions can surface- joy/praise/celebrating OR sadness/heartache/grief.
We come to God in both prayer and praise for this new month.

Dear Lord,
You know our joys and our heartaches, and we come to you in both prayer and praise as this new month begins. We know your mercies are new every morning and we praise you for that. We thank you for your presence, peace, comfort, guidance, and the perfect way you uphold and restore us.

Help us to be still (Exodus 14:14) and to be alert (1 Peter 5:8-9) and to be on guard (Luke 21:24). Thank you for the privilege to take on a new day, month, and season to live out for you, Lord.

In the promising name of Jesus, Amen🙏🤍

Dear Lord,

We come to you today lifting up those who are feeling weary, tired, broken. They are needing you and are longing to find rest and joy in your presence.

You know the situation that they are in, and as we lift up these situations to your almighty hands, we ask for you to grant these good faithful servants your peace, rest, and joy.

Worry is a waste, stress suffocates, and distractions are damaging as they take the focus away from you, Lord.

So please direct their thoughts to your promises, reminding them that you are fighting for them, they just need to be still and rest, Exodus 14:14.

Lead them beside your quiet waters, allowing them to rest in your green pastures. -Psalm 23:2

Refresh their spirits and restore their joy.

We ask this in the name that brings peace and rest, the name that speaks joy, the name of Jesus,

AMEN.

And indeed we do!!!!!!
We love this land so much!! And we are so grateful to God for this beautiful country that we live in!! We have so many freedoms, especially the freedom to worship Him! ✝️🙏

As we celebrate our country’s Independence Day today, we also pray so hard for our country.

There is so much division, hatred, evil, confusion…none of that are from the Lord.
He brings calm, not chaos.
He brings peace, not problems.
And what our country needs is Him.
We need Jesus.

Lord,
Your words have stilled the storms, comforted the hurting, given strength to the weary, calmed anxiety, restored destruction… and we ask You to do it again, Lord.
Please be with those who have been affected by the flooding in Kerrville, TX.
Be their refuge and strength in these troubling times. (Psalm 46:1)
Be their comfort and calm in this chaos.
Let them feel your everlasting peace.

We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, AMEN.

Lord, hear our prayers ✝️🙏

Jesus, we need you.
We come to you with heavy hearts today as we lift up and pray for all the precious families and communties affected by the Texas Hill Country flooding.

We are clinging tight to the promises of scripture knowing that You will:

Comfort all who mourn
(Matthew 5:4)

Heal the broken hearted
(Psalm 147:3)

Give rest to the weary and burdened
(Matthew 11:28)

Strengthen and uphold the fearful
(Isaiah 41:10)

Bless your people with peace
(Psalm 29:11)

Pour out your unfailing love
(Isaiah 54:10)

🙏✝️ Lord, may these precious communities feel Your presence and everlasting peace with every step they take...
please protect their minds from anxious thoughts or memories, renew their strength, and comfort their hearts today and always. Please wrap them all tightly in a blanket of strength, comfort, protection, love, and support.

The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. -Psalm 34:18

The devastation across the Texas Hill Country is so heartbreaking, and I’m at such a loss for words.

In the silence of sorrow, I am clinging tight to the promises of scripture knowing that God will:

Comfort all who mourn
(Matthew 5:4)

Heal the broken hearted
(Psalm 147:3)

Give rest to the weary and burdened
(Matthew 11:28)

Strengthen and uphold the fearful
(Isaiah 41:10)

Bless His people with peace
(Psalm 29:11)

Pour out His unfailing love
(Isaiah 54:10)

Psalm 23:4 reminds us that:
“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for YOU ARE WITH ME; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

And it’s in these dark moments, in the storms that we can hear the whisper of God saying, “be still.”

He might be saying “be still” to the storm, calming it down and bringing peace…. Or he might be saying “be still” to you, calming your soul, holding you tight as the storm rages on, bringing you peace….
✝️🙏
May you feel the peace and comfort of the Lord today and everyday.
Hear God whisper, “be still.”

God is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow.

He is faithful.

He is a promise keeper.

Whatever He says stands to the end of ages.

He says:

🚶 that He is with us every step of the day (Joshua 1:9)
✝️that He is faithful (Hebrews 10:23)
💪 that He will strengthen and help us (Isaiah 41:10)
🤍 that we can be still in His presence, knowing that He is working it all for the good (Exodus 14:14, Romans 8:28)

His Word is true, His promises are kept, and His Truth will endure all generations. (Psalm 100:5)

Hold these promises from the Promise Keeper close to your heart.

God’s with you.
He’s got you.
