Florence welcomes Portale by Paulo Airaudo, the new restaurant by the Italian-Argentine chef, who has been awarded eight Michelin stars. Portale is located inside the Porta Rossa Hotel Firenze, the first hotel in the world by Colbert Collection and one of the oldest in Italy, just steps from Piazza della Signoria. The restaurant seats 30 guests in the dining room and 10 at the Portale Bar. The cuisine is Italian with strong Tuscan roots, featuring dishes such as pappa al pomodoro with burrata and finocchiona and pecorino ravioli. At the bar, guests can enjoy classic and signature cocktails, including Per Non Dormire, inspired by the hotel’s historic motto.

Cantina La-Vis and Cembra Cantina di Montagna welcomed a group of journalists to Trentino for a two-day press tour dedicated to the territory, people and stories behind their w**es.

The experience began among the vineyards of La-Vis, with Chardonnay grapes being harvested at the peak of the season, before continuing in Cembra, where guests witnessed the local growers delivering their grapes to the w**ery. An aperitivo at the cantina and a night walk to Lago Santo completed the journey through the landscapes and w**emaking traditions of Trentino.

Milan welcomes Burbero, the new w**e bar with kitchen by Eugenio Boer and Carlotta Perilli. Located at 3 Via delle Pioppette, in the heart of the city, this intimate 40-square-metre space is designed around w**e, good food and conviviality, with an informal approach. The focus is on a carefully curated selection of w**es from small producers, alongside charcuterie and cheeses, seasonal ingredients and dishes made for sharing. The menu also features some of Chef Boer’s signature creations, including his iconic pigeon macaron.

Until tomorrow, “Tokyo Week: The Art of Connection” at Terrazza Gallia. Born from the collaboration between ザ・プリンスギャラリー 東京紀尾井町 and Excelsior Hotel Gallia, this gastronomic experience blends Japanese and Italian traditions in a refined encounter of taste, culture, and creativity.

The grand finale will take place on Sunday the 20th, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, at Gallia Restaurant: the guest chef from Tokyo will be the star of the event launching the new season of the hotel’s renowned Sunday brunches, accompanied by live music. A culinary journey that will continue with the upcoming scheduled events on October 18, November 22, and December 13.

Set within the historic Palazzo Ca’ Donà and inspired by Venice’s long history as a crossroads of trade and cultures, Orbita unfolds as a multisensory journey through imagined geographies, with the domestic interior becoming an archive of memories, influences and imagined landscapes. Each room at Palazzo Ca’ Donà evokes a destination along the merchant’s travels, moving through the atmospheres of Africa, Morocco, India and China. Materials, objects, artworks and collectible pieces reveal different cultures through a contemporary lens. The journey eventually returns to Venice, where the palazzo’s shared spaces reinterpret the codes of Venetian interiors. Rather than a traditional exhibition, ORBITA transforms the private residence into a living cultural observatory.

To celebrate the launch of the Coravin Guide Rome Edition, we hosted an intimate talk last Wednesday, September 9th, in the garden of Anima at The Rome EDITION, bringing together Coravin founder and chairman Greg Lambrecht, renowned w**e producer Federico Ceretto Ceretto and Italy’s first female Master of W**e, Cristina Mercuri 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢 MW, for a conversation around the evolving world of w**e consumption and the opportunities offered by w**e by the glass.

Journalists, influencers and sommeliers from some of Rome’s top venues had the opportunity to discover and taste a curated selection of w**es by the glass, served with Coravin and paired with a selection of bites designed to complement the experience. The evening also saw the presentation of the official Coravin Guide certificates to the Rome venues featured in the Guide.
