Questa compilation di gruppi milanesi nasce dall’intento dei suoi ideatori DJ Henry, Roberto Gramegna della Rocketman Records, Ettore “ette” Gilardoni del Real Sound Studio e di tutte le band che vi hanno partecipato, di dare una rappresentazione viva, reale dei fermenti musicali che Milano, in questo periodo storico travagliato per la mancanza ormai di spazi medio/piccoli dove potersi esibire dal vivo, sta portando alla luce. L’idea sottesa alla realizzazione di questo lavoro/manifesto sta nel fugare la percezione tutta esteriore che la città di Milano sia ormai solo un centro nevrotico di consumo alienante e non più un nucleo produttivo di idee e di attività musicali. Le band qui presenti, tranne pochissime eccezioni, sono tutte di recente formazione e stanno a testimoniare la vitalità di una presenza e di un percorso sonoro cittadino. Si è cercato di riunire le migliori testimonianze indie rock milanesi al fine di creare qualcosa che resti nel tempo per tutti noi e per la città. Le registrazioni sono state effettuate in presa diretta al Real Sound Studio di via Casoretto (storica realtà milanese che dal 1982 supporta la scena underground) utilizzando un registratore a nastro Ampex e mixate in analogico per fornire uno spaccato di verità e di autenticità in contrapposizione alle realizzazioni asettiche e serializzate della nascente IA e alla frenesia del consumismo dell’era digitale.

Lato 2025 July 18 recording session - part 01

We’ll be playing another free flowing set on Saturday May 24. Doors open at 9 and tickets at the door are 10 euro including a drink.
Come on out and swing to the psycho-groove!!

This is the first track taken from our last album “Karisma” and soon we’ll have a video for it too. Each song on the album is accompanied by an image which in some way inspires and reflects the atmosphere of the song. Along with the image you can find the two snapshots of the original hand written lyrics of “Soul for Blood” taken directly from the Soundbook.

So what’s a Soundbook you may asking?

We’ll it’s the unique medium we’ve chosen to release our album. It’s basically an art book that contains all of the artwork and lyrics of the album and a code that allows you to download the digital album in high quality from bandcamp.
