Tribute to Giuseppina
Last week we celebrated our beloved Mrs. Giuseppina’s retirement.
She has been working in our Galassia Knitwear Factory for well 41 years, from 1983 till 2024.
She was hired by Baron Meno Galatioto and his wife Mariuccia, the company's first-generation founders.
Her skillful hands have sewn, made trims and lovely delicate embroideries and patiently finished thousands of unique sweaters, both labeled Pashmere and of other well known brands, with the perfect touch of a passionate woman.
As the company's tradition of craftsmanship and production of high-quality knitwear continues with the second and third generations, it is time for Mrs. Giuseppina to enjoy her well-deserved retirement.
We are proud and honored to have worked with someone so devoted to this work and our company for all these years!
Our sincere congratulations to Giuseppina , we wish her a bright and happy future.

Omaggio a Giuseppina
La scorsa settimana abbiamo festeggiato il pensionamento della nostra cara Sig.ra Giuseppina che ha lavorato nel nostro Maglificio Galassia per ben 41 anni, dal 1983 al 2024.
Fu assunta dal Barone Meno Galatioto e sua moglie Mariuccia, fondatori dell’azienda.
Le sue abili mani hanno cucito, eseguito ricami bellissimi e rifinito con pazienza migliaia di maglie a marchio Pashmere e di altri brand e stilisti famosi, col tocco perfetto di una donna appassionata del suo lavoro.
Poiché la tradizione di produzione artigianale di maglieria di alto livello prosegue con la seconda e terza generazione, è ormai tempo per la sig.ra Giuseppina di godersi il meritato riposo.
Siamo orgogliosi e onorati di aver lavorato con una persona tanto dedita alla nostra azienda e al suo lavoro per tutti questi anni.
Congratulazioni e auguri per un futuro felice e luminoso!

Riposa in pace, caro Antonio!

Tanti anni sono passati da quando noi del Maglificio Galassia/Pashmere abbiamo condiviso con te e Gianni bei momenti di gioie lavorative e successi, poi solo con te il grande dolore, il vuoto e la ripartenza.

La stima reciproca e l’amicizia ci hanno legato fin qui, pur da lontano.

Ti ricorderemo sempre, così umile, serio e corretto, gentile e generoso con tutti.

Rest in peace, dear Antonio!

Many years have passed since we and our Galassia Knitting Company shared with you and Gianni good times of working joys and success, then with you alone the deep grief, the void and finally the restart.

The mutual esteem and friendship have bound us till now, even if from a distance.

We will always remember you, so humble, serious and honest, polite and generous with everybody.

Tribute to Marinella
Last weekend we celebrated Marinella's retirement. She has been working from 1983 to 2022 for 39 long years in the Galassia Knitwear Factory.
Mrs. Marinella has carried out the job of linking machine (the sewing of fine knitwear items using the circular machine) with passion, dedication and love.
She has sewn sweaters for many renowned international fashion brands and for the corporate brand Pashmere. After an approximate count we have estimated that in her career at Maglificio Galassia Ms Marinella has sewn more than 100.000 (one hundred thousand) sweaters with her hands!
She was hired by Baron Meno Galatioto and his wife Mariuccia, first generation and founders of the company.
As the company's artisanal tradition and high-quality knitwear production continue with the second and third generations, the time has come for Ms. Marinella to enjoy her well-deserved retirement.
We are proud and honored to have worked with someone so devoted to this work and our company for all these years!

Omaggio a Marinella

Lo scorso fine settimana abbiamo celebrato il pensionamento di Marinella che, dal 1983 al 2022, ha lavorato per 39 lunghi anni nel maglificio Galassia.
La signora Marinella ha svolto con passione, dedizione e amore il mestiere di rimagliatrice e cioè la cucitura dei pregiati capi di maglieria tramite l'utilizzo della macchina circolare.

Le maglie cucite sono state tantissime per molti rinomati marchi di moda internazionali e per il brand aziendale Pashmere. Dopo un conto approssimativo abbiamo stimato che nella sua carriera presso il Maglificio Galassia la sig.ra Marinella abbia cucito da sola più di 100.000 (centomila) maglie!

Fu assunta dal barone Meno Galatioto e da sua moglie Mariuccia, prima generazione e fondatori dell'azienda.

Mentre la tradizione artigianale dell'azienda e la produzione di maglieria di alta qualità continuano con la seconda e la terza generazione, è giunto il momento per la signora Marinella di godersi il meritato pensionamento.

Siamo orgogliosi e onorati di aver lavorato con una persona così devota a questo lavoro e alla nostra azienda per tutti questi anni!
Le nostre più sincere congratulazioni a Marinella, le auguriamo un futuro luminoso e felice.
