diventando una forma simile a una pelle che si dissolve nel tessuto.» – Joyce Lin

‘I wanted to transform the carpet into a canvas on which to deconstruct an
iconic 18th-century object, exploring the interplay between sumptuousness, fragmentation
and decay. The dismantled armchair sinks into and merges with the surrounding wool,
becoming a form resembling skin that dissolves into the fabric.’ – Joyce Lin

Ci sono storie che non si scrivono con l'inchiostro, ma si tessono con il filo.
Un nodo alla volta, in un ritmo silenzioso che sa di tempo, pazienza e devozione. Dietro le
trame di ogni nostro tappeto ci sono loro: mani sapienti, custodi di una memoria antica e
preziosa.
Sono questi gesti lenti, precisi e invisibili a trasformare la materia cruda in un'opera viva. È
qui, tra le dita e i respiri dei nostri artigiani, che l'anima e l'eredità di Amini continuano a
prendere forma.

There are stories that are not written in ink, but woven with thread.
One knot at a time, in a silent rhythm that speaks of time, patience and devotion. Behind the
weaves of each of our carpets lie these skilled hands, guardians of an ancient and
precious heritage.
It is these slow, precise and unseen gestures that transform raw materials into a living work of art. It is
here, amongst the fingers and breaths of our artisans, that the soul and legacy of Amini continue to
take shape.

to the architecture, without ever overpowering it.

Woven Forms II - Details of Nevertheless She Persisted III by Marylin Pappas

Il dettaglio di Nevertheless She Persisted III: Hygeia with Snakes di Marylin Pappas nasce da un rilievo in tessuto dedicato a Igea, dea della salute, reinterpretata nei suoi colori originali e nel suo simbolo di guarigione. L'artista sceglie questo frammento perché il dialogo tra figura, panneggio e serpente si presta a essere tradotto attraverso tecniche alternative per la realizzazione di tappeti.

The design for Nevertheless She Persisted III: Hygeia with Snakes by Marylin Pappas is based on a fabric relief dedicated to Hygeia, the goddess of health, reinterpreted in her original colours and featuring her symbol of healing. The artist chose this fragment because the interplay between the figure, the drapery and the snake lends itself to being rendered using alternative carpet-weaving techniques.

Ogni filato porta con sé una storia fatta di attenzione, responsabilità e sapere custodito: dal benessere degli animali ai pascoli, fino ai processi di lavorazione, ogni passaggio è seguito con sensibilità e consapevolezza.
Un impegno testimoniato dalla certificazione GOTS, ma ciò che davvero definisce Amini è la volontà di preservare l’autenticità della materia, valorizzandone la bellezza più pura.

Carpets extend the horizons of my artistic practice, in which drawing serves as the generative DNA. Translated into physical form, the individual shapes are transformed into distinctive objects to walk on or hang up, taking on a silent and watchful presence.
