For , on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2026, I conceived a gift designed to translate an emotional and identity-driven experience into a tangible form.

A deep red box, both striking and evocative, presents itself as an essential yet anticipation-filled object: a container that invites opening, encouraging a slow and deliberate gesture. Inside, a curated composition of elements narrates the connection between manufacturing excellence and Milanese culture.

At its heart is a silk foulard, produced in Como—the historic center of Italian silk craftsmanship—and finished with a hand-rolled hem. Preserved within an additional box, it becomes an intimate and precious object, embodying care, time, and artisanal expertise.

Alongside it, a chocolate bar by Zaini, dedicated to Milano, introduces a more immediate sensory dimension, evoking the taste and memory of the city. A welcome postcard completes the gift, conceived as a gesture of hospitality and narrative.

Together, these elements build a coherent story: a balance between material, place, and perception, where each component contributes to shaping a refined experience deeply connected to the context of Milanese design and hospitality.
