At Flux CS, we believe that light is not just an aesthetic and functional element: It is a living force that interacts with its surroundings. That’s why we are proud to have designed the lighting for City of Plants, the visionary installation by MAD Architects at Biennale Architettura 2025, curated by Carlo Ratti.

The exhibition, “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.”, explores how design can intelligently respond to today’s environmental and technological challenges, and City of Plants embodies this vision through an evolving micro-ecosystem where nature, technology, and human presence are seamlessly intertwined.

Using AI, real-time environmental data, responsive sound, and responsive lighting, the installation creates a dynamic space where plants and people interact, shaping a shared language of coexistence. Thanks to pioneering research from Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, electrodes make the plants' signals perceivable, allowing their needs to be translated into a sensory dialogue, an experience that light plays a fundamental role in amplifying.

Flux CS’s lighting design enhances the sensory experience, ensuring that light not only nurtures plant life but becomes a medium through which nature communicates. Our vision for City of Plants reinforces the idea that light is an active participant in shaping the future of sustainable architecture.

Special thanks to MAD Architects for leading this project and to Parcnouveau for designing the green spaces. Together, we illuminate a future where nature is not passive but an intelligent, responsive force shaping the cities of tomorrow.

We're thrilled to see Waterfront come to life in the exclusive Porto Cervo, Italy. Waterfront Costa Smeralda is located in one of the most iconic seafront of Sardinian coastline and it required the collaboration of a talented team of professionals to develop such a harmonious and elegant scenery and enrich this unique landscape.
Beautiful in the daylight, the magic happens when the sun sets and a variety of artificial lights blend with nature and transport you to a luxury enchanted garden.

Throwback to June 2022 when we provided our lighting design consultancy to Salvatore Ferragamo for the opening of its 2600 square foot concept store located at 63 Greene Street, in Soho, New York City. Conceived to provide an immersive experience to its customers, the Ferragamo Soho Concept Store, maintained some original architectural features that were characteristic of the neighborhood, covered them in blue paint and decorated with coated aluminum modular shelving and large mirrored display consoles. We've been thrilled to enlighten this modern expression of the brand.

It's almost one year since Nespresso opened the doors of its boutique in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris.
According with the retail approach that deepened the local connection, the boutique name is part of the welcome area in an Art Déco atmosphere and highest standard in sustainability are met in everyday activity as well as during special events.
We proudly collaborated with Nespresso to provide the optimal boutique lighting according with the concept.

We've spent last week at EuroShop as we had developed the lighting design for Grottini's Forum, a place conceived to share and exchange ideas. This is why our focus was to create an interior environment that encourages human interaction and optimal product presentation through lighting. Glowing columns, golden tones and natural materials offered a comfortable interior atmosphere and highlighted the renewed interaction between humans and nature. We provided our consultancy from initial concept through setup and event supervision.

We're thrilled to know that Nespresso has been shortlisted for two Retail Week Awards, in the ‘Best New Store’, thanks to the Bluewater boutique that introduces several innovations, and ‘Responsible Retailer’ categories, recognizing its ongoing commitment to delivering high quality, sustainable coffee through unique and immersive customer experiences.

Italian contemporary label forte_forte has recently opened its first U.S. store in Los Angeles. The boutique, located at 8424 of Melrose Place and housed in 1930s building, was designed by Giada Forte and Robert Vattilana.
We provided our lighting design consultancy to develop a unique atmosphere, bringing light and matter together.

Nespresso opened the doors of one of our favorite flagship boutiques in Vienna one year ago, piloting a new immersive and experiential retail concept. The new concept elevated its retail approach to deepen local connections and meet the highest standards in sustainability.

Flashback to celebrate the opening of forte_forte boutique in Cannes, France, in springtime this year. The boutique, located at 27 rue du commandant André, a few steps from la Croisette and housed in an elegant corner building, has been described as a mineral box lit with marine reflections.
We provided our lighting design consultancy to develop a unique atmosphere in order to meet the boutique concept, bringing light and matter together.

Salvatore Ferragamo opened the doors of two boutiques in Chongquin Starlight 68 Mall and Seoul Lotte Jamsil. We’re very proud of our contribution to these two refurbishments that followed our lighting studies on such vivid colors that have been used for furnitures, product and artworks.
