Spagnulo & Partners will take part in a round table during the upcoming Vette e Onde conference to explore the complex relationship between historical heritage and the hospitality sector. In the magnificent setting of Castello Dal Pozzo, a 19th-century residence on Lake Maggiore, the programme will discuss the theme of the transformation of the territory and its environmental, social and economic consequences for the hospitality sector, looking towards new international perspectives. A meeting that aims to open up new possibilities for the hospitality industry, while maintaining its roots in the cultural heritage of the place.

Vette e Onde

The inspiration behind the interior design project for Baglioni Resort Sardinia, part of Baglioni Hotels & Resorts, stems from a natural colour palette. The dominant tones, such as water green, ocean blue and azure, reflect throughout every space designed by Spagnulo & Partners. In the outdoor areas, light fabrics drift through the air by the poolside, while the interiors feature handcrafted ceramics inspired by the traditional Sardinian “strexiu” technique. A natural continuation of the local heritage and tradition.

The collaboration between Spagnulo & Partners and Baglioni Hotels & Resorts continues in the project for the interiors of Baglioni Resort Sardinia. As always, the relationship with the local territory remains central to the studio’s design narrative. Light, sounds, scents and colours are the guiding lines in the creation of harmonious and coherent spaces within the historic context. Wool rugs, textile furniture in Pibiones techinique, crafted ceramics. Every element is generated from the identity of the place.

At Baglioni Resort Sardinia, the outdoor spaces are the true protagonists. It is here that emotion and a deep connection with the surrounding landscape emerge strongly. To consolidate this atmosphere, Spagnulo & Partners designed the outdoor furnishings.
On the lounge bar terrace, the textures of the fabrics and rugs, combined with teak seating, create a spatial continuity with a sophisticated and relaxed character. In the poolside outdoor area, shading structures made of wood and woven reeds alternate rhythmically, transforming the simple act of pausing into a moment of wellbeing. A balance between design, landscape and natural light that surrounds the visitor in the unique setting of Sardinia.

What does the future hold for the hospitality industry? To explore the possible answers, Spagnulo & Partners studio will take part in a live talk at the upcoming Hospitality Club International Summit. The initiative, conceived by Medelhan, focuses on identifying future developments in the hospitality sector, examining in particular the key professional intersections between investment, technology, design, sustainability and business. An opportunity to create a dialogue between worlds that appear distant at first sight, yet interconnected.

The wide spaces of Masseria Muzza, part of Baglioni Hotels & Resorts, offer a constant dialogue with the surrounding landscape. In the outdoor areas of the resort, the furnishings are entirely designed by Spagnulo & Partners studio. Wood, rushes and marsh reeds are woven together to create seats, chaise-longue and tables all around the pool and restaurant area.

Present across the region, weaving and embroidery are an essential part of regional craftsmanship. A tale of the history
of the women of Apulia who, even today, create precious and unique objects. In the interiors of Masseria Muzza, a project by Spagnulo & Partners studio for Baglioni Hotels & Resorts, the fabrics are carefully selected on a study of local techniques. The textures and intricate embroidery reflect the ancient local tradition, blending craftsmanship with interior design.

The spatial concept of the internal rooms at Masseria Muzza stems from a study of local techniques and materials. In the project by Spagnulo & Partners for Baglioni Hotels & Resorts, the connection with local history is one of the central themes. Inside the rooms, the design focuses on preserving the existing structures, creating a dialogue with the recent changes. Particular attention is given to the walls, which create vaults in the ceilings and become niches framing ceramic vases. The Apulian tradition emerges naturally, creating spaces capable of adapting to contemporary living, while maintaining their cultural identity.

The interior design project for Masseria Muzza builds on the collaboration between the studio Spagnulo & Partners and Baglioni Hotels & Resorts. Once again, the synergy between the Milan-based firm and the hotel group leads to the creation of a unique and distinctive place, where the relationship with the surrounding environment lies at the heart of the concept. Located in the Salento countryside, Masseria Muzza has ancient origins dating back to the 17th century. Within this historic framework, the project by Spagnulo & Partners integrates harmoniously through the study of traditional Apulian construction techniques and materials.

Surrounded by green olive groves, the complex of Masseria Muzza, part of Baglioni Hotels & Resorts, is generated through a series of terraces and internal pathways. The design by Spagnulo & Partners considers the context and its history as the first pillar of the project. The white limestone walls and exposed masonry reflect local building techniques, while local raw materials such as wood, rushes and marsh reeds become the basis for the creation of the outdoor furnishings. A blend of craftsmanship that creates a distinctive place with timeless enchantment.
