THIS TRIP WAS A DREAM!! Such a cool opportunity to see and do a little bit of everything. Shopping, sight seeing, cooking classes, city tours, and beach days! Getting to explore and do all these things with a bunch of my new friends was the cherry on top! There’s so many good memories but one of my favorites was going to Aphrodite thermal park to do yoga and swim! For the nights hanging out in Ischia it was a must to go see Mina (Mina is my favorite person ever!! You need to meet her) If you’re on the fence about study abroad, put your fears aside because getting out of your comfort zone to see the world and meet new people is worth it!!

Being able to experience beautiful Italy through IAP was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!! Being able to not only learn about the culture, but truly experience the lifestyle abroad was one of the coolest things I’ve ever gotten to do. I was nervous going abroad not knowing a single person, but I had the best experience and left with friendships that will last me forever! My favorite part was how welcoming everyone was through every step of the way. IAP sets you up to have such great experiences in so many places, and the locals are so kind and excited to share their culture!

My advice for future students is to truly embrace every part of it!! While you may be nervous, it is such a fun program where you get to meet new friends in a beautiful place, and it truly flies by. I would go back in a heartbeat!

This was an experience beyond what I could’ve imagined, and will forever hold a space in my heart! My favorite part of the program was the connections I made. I went in only knowing one person, and left with so many new friendships and endless memories. Between the students and professors from my school and the people of IAP, they truly welcome you with open arms to guide you through the experience and support you in any way!

If you get this opportunity my advice would be to just fully live in the moment each day. This is the experience of a lifetime and it will fly by, so really soak up every experience while you are there!

Getting to go to Ischia is an experience I will be forever grateful for. I met so many amazing people and created life long friends. I saw beautiful places and got to explore the Italian culture in the best way. The community that the Italy abroad program creates gave me a sense of community which allowed me to take it all in to the fullest extent and feel comfortable exploring.

If you are able to go and stay in the beautiful ischia my advice is to say yes to absolutely everything. You will never be this young again in a foreign country getting to explore and learn everyday. Some of my favorite memories from the trip are when we got to go explore on our own!

Hi everyone! Our names are Nikki and Chimay, and we were lucky enough to participate in not one, but two summer abroad programs with IAP- and the experience was truly life changing.

In 2024, we went on the Ischia trip and got to experience everything both the island and the Amalfi Coast had to offer, from cooking classes and boat tours to jumping into natural spas.

This past summer, we also traveled to Florence and got a taste of Italian city life. That trip was just as exciting, filled with company tours at Ducati and Lamborghini, amazing dinners, cooking classes, and so many unforgettable moments. These experiences really opened our eyes to how much the world has to offer.

We’re so grateful to our teachers, Dr. Devan Romero and Robert Aboolian, as well as Vince Amalfitano, for making these experiences possible.

The world is way too big to stay in one place, go out and see it.
