Hi my friends,

Origins truly began to take shape as an album in February 2024, when we went into the studio to record the first drum tracks.

Over the following two years, the project changed along with me, through new ideas, study, arrangements and constant rethinking.

Working on it also meant going back through an important part of my life: rediscovering old photographs, chats, recordings and material that had been stored on my computer for years.

These songs travelled through almost fifteen years of my life, from O.D.U. to Ophiura, while the world around me changed profoundly. Then they remained closed away in a drawer for almost another ten years.

Between February and March 2026, the album finally reached its definitive form.

On October 9, 2026, Origins will finally be ready for all of you.

Hi my friends,

today I’m finally sharing the cover artwork for Origins.

I also want to remind you that the first single, Resurrection, will be released on August 7, 2026.
The album Origins will be released on October 9, 2026.

Mark the dates.

As I’ve already told you, this sudden title change came from an intuition from my subconscious during the night. And I’m happy it did.

What I can tell you is that Origins brings together songs written between the late Nineties and the early 2000s, connected to my musical roots, to O.D.U., to Ophiura, and to all the memories and friends from that time. There will also be a few new songs.

I won’t explain the meaning of the cover artwork, at least not for now.

If you feel like it, write me your interpretation.

Hi my friends,

over the last few days, I made an important decision about the new album.

For a long time, I thought this chapter was going to be called Ancestral Whispers: a title connected to the most spiritual side of the project, to the history of Ophiura, and to the friends I met along that path.

Then, a few days ago, during the night — in a dream or half-awake, I don’t remember exactly — I had a very clear intuition.

That was not meant to be the title.

It had to be Origins.

It happened at a very particular moment: the cover was already finished, the release had already been uploaded to the digital distributor, but a few details had to be corrected before the final publication.

And since, as Master Oogway says, “There are no accidents,” right in that space this clear feeling arrived:

Origins.

I know very well that Origins is a title that has already been used by different artists and for different albums, but I couldn’t choose a title just because it looked more original on paper.

I had to choose the truest one.

And for this record, for its story, for all the years of rehearsals, concerts, dreams, visions, and paths that have remained partly suspended from 1998 until today, Origins was simply the right name.

I didn’t just want to recover the past.

I wanted to give these songs a new life, and bring love back to something that had been closed in a drawer, gathering dust, for far too long.

⚠️ News Alert: Ancestral Whispers??? ⚠️

This message is for all of you who’ve supported us through all these years.
For those who stopped us on the street, for those who messaged us remembering the old days, and for those who kept asking for news.
For everyone who shared amazing moments with us.

First news:
the new version of Ancestral Whispers has been fully re-recorded and it’s finally ready.
It includes the original songs reworked, other tracks that were never recorded, and also brand-new songs.

Second news:
it won’t be released under the band name anymore, but under Alex’s name.

It’s a decision that took almost a year of reflection.
The band stopped playing live 11 years ago—feels like yesterday, but today it’s basically impossible to bring back the old line-up and keep an activity that truly makes this a “band” again.
For years the idea was to restart this project, full of beautiful memories, but life took all of us down different paths…
maybe one day, who knows!
