We are delighted to be working with Brooke Shaden on the cover art for 𝘏𝘖𝘔𝘌𝘚𝘐𝘊𝘒. We wanted an image that was at once powerful, luminous and uplifting, and that’s when we came across Brooke’s extraordinary work. We are proud to finally get to share it with you today.
The first single 𝘽𝙇𝙀𝙀𝘿 𝙏𝙊 𝙇𝙄𝙁𝙀 drops June 30th.

Dusktone is proud to reveal the (sudden) signing and release of the next two albums by DJEVELSORT!

"Djevelsort is a new Norwegian black metal project from Hamar, combining atmospheric intensity with dark symphonic and progressive elements. It is primarily a solo project led by songwriter Tom Hagen: after more than two decades as a drummer, he stepped away from the drum kit in 2019 to pursue a more personal musical vision on guitar, drawing inspiration from the legacy of 1990s Scandinavian black metal.
The debut album "Peril Of Freedom" consists of seven tracks composed and recorded between June 2024 and January 2025. The album merges atmospheric riffs, orchestral arrangements, and strong melodic lines to create a sound that is both immersive and expansive. A central element of the album’s sonic identity is the fretless bass performed by Rich Gray (Annihilator), adding a fluid and progressive dimension that stands out within the genre. Inspired by artists such as Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, and early Ulver, Peril of Freedom balances grand, epic soundscapes with a more introspective and atmospheric intensity"

"The Roots Of My Neglect" has been out for a week or so. Now it's time to focus on some songs from it. The first one is "As Deep As The Knife Goes". Here's what's the band has to say:
"This song explores the terror of psychological captivity, chronicling a distorted reality where a person once admired instantly shatters into an imminent threat. The track captures the suffocating suspense of weaponised guilt and unhinged obsession, navigating the frantic desire to wind the clock back to the start. Lyrically and musically, it stands as an ode to survival and the immense internal fortitude required to withstand psychological violation.
The single’s artwork and lyric video invokes the historical tragedy of “Lucretia” — bridging an ancient milestone of defiance against physical and mental subjugation with the modern psychological warfare depicted in the track"
