So remember last world cup and all the headlines about how handsome our players are? This time the praise has started before the games in Qatar! UK Heart Radio DJs even sang a song in honor of our handsome footballers! ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿคฉโšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿฅ…

Might I add that all these photos are taken from the official Instagram accounts of our players.

If you roam around the cities in Iran today, youโ€™ll see that the parks are packed! This is to wrap up the epic nowruz holidays with an epic ending! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿชข๐Ÿฅณโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐ŸŽฒ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฅฌ๐Ÿซ–๐Ÿฅƒ

Here are 7 things we do on the 13th day of the Persian New Year:

1- Get out in the open: Celebrate Mother Earth and nature with the entire fam; this is why the parks are packed. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿชด๐Ÿงบ

2- Play games: backgammon(which was invented by Persians ๐Ÿ˜Ž) cards, volleyball, hide and seek, badminton, dodgeball and etcโ€ฆ

3- Snack: Lettuce with Sekanjabin, Nuts, Ash Reshteh, tea and sweets ๐Ÿ˜‹

4- Tie a knot on grass: specially young women tie a knot on grass and hope to meet the one theyโ€™re meant to be with in the coming year.

5- Dance: because โ€œgherโ€ is a constant for us Iranians

6- Team work on โ€œPeik e Shadiโ€ : Students in iran are given homework for the holidays! and usually the entire work meant for 2 weeks is done on the 13th day because is a thing(at least for that one lazy kid in the family). Kids ask around and complete their assignment with the help of the entire family before going back to school.

7- Throw our Sabzeh out: as this serves as the official ending of Nowruz holidays, we no longer need the center piece of our Haftsin table. We throw it out (usually on a river).

Bonus: 13th lie! Pretty much the April fools but done a day or two later ๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿชด๐Ÿ˜
