The Griffin is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of an eagle, and the ears of a horse, which is one of the most prominent ideas of ancient Eastern thought and art.
The oldest Griffin discovered from Central Asia date back to the fifth and fourth centuries B.C and belongs to the governments of the Achaemenid Empire. The Achaemenids considered Griffin a "guardian against the devil, magic, and lies." The heads of the famous Achaemenid columns are also one of the significant human artifacts that show the Griffins.

The Farafar Gate of Yazd is one of the riddles of Persian history!
There are several quotes about the gate of Farafar city. Some believe that the building was the entrance to the city of Yazd, which was called Farafar in ancient times, and therefore it is nearly a thousand years old. Others believe that the building is a remnant of the south wall of a quadrangular cube tomb with a dome, which the other three sides have collapsed, and the entrance remains today, which probably dates back to the 14 and 15 A.D centuries.
In any case, what is left today shows the genius and art of Persian architects.
