Kindly note the following highlights of the recently concluded 37th Academic Council (held on 16th June 2015) and plan your future course registrations accordingly.
1. No fresh courses can be registered during the Summer semester, except those under Minor/ Honours/ Double Major.
2. All Summer courses will be under Absolute Grading method only.

The new Non-AC hall in (SJT -8th floor) named as "Bhagat Singh Gallery" with a capacity of 268 is now available for booking online for all events from today onwards.
All are requested to try booking Non-AC hall first, as it consumes less electricity compared to the Air-conditioned halls.

Kind attn: APT training eligible students - Vellore and Chennai campuses
Login IDs and passwords for practice tests in the portal of FACE and SMART will be distributed by the trainers on 20th and 21st September at the respective classes by the trainers. They would also explain about the functionality of the portal in taking up the practice tests.
Please attend the APT training classes scheduled this week(20th/21st September) without fail.
The final test for this semester APT will be conducted on 1st and 2nd November at the respective class rooms.

Sub.: Withdrawal of Registered Course(s) – Fall 2014-15 semester
Course withdrawal is applicable only to those senior students who had registered their courses using the online FFCS registration software and not applicable to Freshers who joined during the AY2014-15 and Senior M.Tech. students who already had availed this option.
Online link to withdraw a Fall 2013-14 registered course will be made available between 10th and 14th September 2014. Withdrawal below 16 credits is not permitted. However, final years and timed-out students are exempted from the minimum withdrawal credit limit. Re-registered courses cannot be withdrawn except those re-registered courses that have been cleared subsequently. If a registered additional/ re-registered course is withdrawn, no refund will be made. A course once withdrawn through this process cannot be reinstated again. Though courses withdrawn shall be shown with a 'W' grade under FFCS student academic history, they will not be listed in semester Grade Sheet and Consolidated Grade Sheet. When a withdrawn course is registered again or substituted by another course, students need to pay re-registration charges.
Students are advised not to share their FFCS passwords with friends. Please reset your FFCS login password before the start of course withdrawal, to prevent others/ friends dropping a needed course without your knowledge, intentionally or unintentionally. University shall not take any responsibility towards this.

Sub: Faculty Advisor (Proctor) Scheme– Reg.

As per the direction, it is informed that, all the Proctors of senior students shall henceforth be called as Faculty Advisor (FA). All the students should meet the Faculty Advisor (Proctor) at least three times in a Semester; otherwise they will be debarred in writing Term End Examinations and will not be allowed to register the courses for next semester.
This comes into immediate effect.
