Ever wondered how a Banarasi saree gets its strength and structure? 🤔
Let’s take a look at Step 1: Warping.
Before the weaving starts, we have to prepare the Warp (the vertical threads).
1. The Creel: We set up hundreds of bobbins (seen here!) on this giant rack.
2. Alignment: Every single thread is pulled together to ensure they are parallel and under equal tension.
3. The Beam: These threads are then wound onto a large cylindrical beam which eventually goes onto the loom.
In this photo, you can see the vibrant colors being prepped for our next collection! It’s a literal “wall of silk.” 🌈
