UMDA Capacity Building Program

UMDA is a micro-development focused company which is working on a concept of Grow Together for socio-economic change of rural and urban women along with their families. Youth of the society especially who are living in rural areas do not have specialized skills besides their regular academic degree. Simultaneously organizations/ companies are also facing employee shortage which directly affects their productivity. One of the emerging sectors is Microfinance where requirement of field level employees called credit officers, who are responsible for group formation, proposal sourcing, documentation, centre meeting and recovery, is on very high side. We have started a 10 days training program for rural youth having 12th pass educational qualification where in we try to equip them with the working of micro finance institutions. It requires specific knowledge and skill while dealing with clients and members. We are helping the aspiring candidates who are willing to work in MFI through our training program and try to equip them with practical working of Micro finance sector. We also provide the candidates a one day field training so that they can be familiar with the working of MFIs. Apart from MFIs there are several NBFCs and commercial Banks engaged in lending business. Requirement of Loan processing officers are also on very high side there who are the key personnel to source, process and disbursement of loan. Taking into the requirement of Loan processing officers in NBFCs and Banks we have also incorporated individual lending process in our training schedule so that options to our participants may not be limited to MFIs for group lending only. They may explore the opportunity of employment in Individual lending oriented organizations as well. We have been regularly conducting these training programs at our Head Quarter since last six months. Our training is free of cost. It is our pleasure that out of 153 candidates who attended this training program 131 candidates have secured their job in different financial organizations.
