EPFO Mobile application launched for facilitating easy access to the members. you could Check PF balance on Mobile via SMS only but to make things easier and convenient EPFO has come out with a mobile app enabling EPF members (employees), employer and pensioners to operate and view their EPF account on the move also.

Employers are required to make aware employees the benefits of Retaining the PF membership instead of withdrawing the accumulations prematurely.

EPFO advises employers to be cautious while submitting withdrawal claims of employees. Sending their claims after completing the formality of waiting for 2 months when the same employees are working elsewhere in other companies can be tracked through UAN/Aadhar/Mobile Nos. etc. and may lead for legal complications for the employer as well as the employee. Rejoining of same employees in your establishment after submitting their PF withdrawal forms shall be subject to scrutiny.

Under the chairmanship of Shri Bandaru Dattatreya ji, Union Minster of State for Labour and Employment (Independent Charge), Central Board (EPF) held its 216th special meeting.

The Board took note of the extension of Employees’ Enrolment Campaign (EEC) by the Government for additional three months beginning 01st April 2017. The EEC aims to enroll left out employees and provides incentives to employers in the form of waiver of administrative charges, nominal damages @ Rupee 1/- annum and waiver of employees share if not deducted.
