Handwoven Kotpad Tussar Saree

A beautiful handwoven Kotpad Tussar saree, featuring the iconic Ganga-Yamuna Phoda Kumbha border—a distinctive traditional border design that beautifully complements the earthy elegance of Kotpad’s natural vegetable-dyed palette.

Woven by the skilled Mirgan tribal weavers of Kotpad, Koraput, Odisha, this textile is known for its rich natural dyes derived from the Aul tree. Kotpad holds a special place in India’s handloom heritage as the first textile from Odisha to receive a GI tag, in 2005.

The combination of lustrous Tussar silk and authentic Kotpad weaving, enhanced by the Ganga-Yamuna Phoda Kumbha border, makes this a particularly striking and timeless expression of Odisha’s tribal textile tradition.
