Reminiscing Heritage ———————

Ranakpur Jain Temple———————

From my childhood - till now I have visited this temple a several times. Every time I visited this 15th century Māru -Gurjara Architecture styled temple I have learned something new about it; the first time I visited this temple as a kid I was overwhelmed with extremely minute carvings around the temple ,very little did I know that every pillar out of 1444 pillars have different carvings on it ; I was stunned with details and workmanship of this temple. More then these intricate columns I was astonished by the carvings on these 80 domical ceilings. It was like a sculpture by itself. What struck me the most is the simple ways and simple materials used to construct this architectural pilgrimage. The high cupolas and light entering from courtyard around gives amazing experience of the carved marvel. As soon as you enter this marble masterpiece you feel a sense of calm and cool in your soul, the first step you put in - you feel a sudden temperature difference from outside, that reminded me what this simple yet luxurious material can do to your space. You can hear many tales around this temple when you visit. This sculpture rich jewel is worth a visit.

We wanted to do a bone inlay work but we are against animal cruelty! .... Hence we made it from art resin and MDF!
