Each time you Use a Drop Shadow...

Analyse your overall work...

And ask few questions:
-Is this shadow really needed?
-Am I doing it right?
-Do pros really use 100 drop shadows?
-Is the shadow subtle or more obvious?
-Does my work look neat or Untidy
-Should i really break the rules?
-Does my design look cheap?
-Is it a good shadow or just ugly?

NEVER ADD SHADOWS TO TEXT.
Just makes the Design look ugly and cheap.
So stop doing it if you are doing it😖

As time passes, more people will become better at drop shadows and making it subtle and soft and not obvious with a dark looking sharp shadow.

Designers should know analyse both anesthetics & usability of a design.

And thats when the best design work will be out in the Industry.

Now Stop making Ugly Drop Shadows & use the Cheatsheet I gave!

Do you use Drop Shadows often?
Comment.

📌Save it for Later.

It’s said to learn from mistakes. Your own mistakes are not enough, we need to learn from others as well.
• ➡️8 Mistakes I Made As A First-Time UX Manager⁣

😮So the first time I became a manager I was super excited, finally, I could do things my way!!! I could run a design/ developer team as I saw fit and finally, we would produce work we were proud of! But, some weeks in I soon realized that I had not been prepared for this role, at all.⁣

📖As you may know, I'm not one to be discouraged easily! I decided that I would read any book on management, observe those doing a great job and take feedback from my employees on a regular basis.⁣

🎠Here are somethings, I wish I would have read on an Instagram carousel before I took on the mantel of leadership ☺️
___

1️⃣You can’t do everything⁣

2️⃣Schedule 1s on 1s, pronto.⁣

3️⃣Don’t make design critique personal⁣

4️⃣ Focus on strengths not weaknesses⁣ ⁣

5️⃣People are not machines⁣

6️⃣ Your employees are adults⁣

7️⃣Jr designers must be in meetings⁣

8️⃣Management does not equal Leadership⁣

👨‍🏫A manager keeps his team on deadline, follows company policy and doesn’t challenge the status quo.⁣

🧙‍♂️A great design leader will push back, protect their designers, gives them space to grow, ask why and ultimately, catalyzes creativity.
