Sitapur Bio-CBG Project is taking shape.

Designed with an input feeding capacity of approximately 65-70 TPD, this upcoming plant will process press mud, cow dung, and potato waste to produce around 3 TPD Compressed Biogas.

A new clean energy milestone begins in Pilibhit.

The 150 TPD Bio-CBG plant in Uttar Pradesh has completed its construction phase and is now moving towards commissioning.

Developed with Biofics technology, this project is designed to convert press mud and organic waste into clean Bio-CBG, supporting India’s growing waste-to-energy movement.

Bio-CNG scalable nahi hai!!!
That’s a myth.

The real issue is not scalability.
The real issue is ex*****on discipline.

A Bio-CNG plant cannot scale with installation alone. It needs strong feedstock planning, structured operations, continuous monitoring, and process discipline to maintain stable performance.

When these fundamentals are weak, performance becomes unstable and the technology gets blamed.

Your Bio-CBG plant may be running.
But is it performing consistently?

Gas output does not always drop because of a machine failure. Many times, performance is silently affected by what enters the digester every day.

Small variations in feedstock quality, moisture, impurities, and composition can disturb digestion, slow down breakdown, and reduce gas generation over time.

These issues may not stop the plant immediately, but they can gradually affect efficiency and output stability.

Same plant. Same capacity. Still different gas output?

Because plant capacity is not the only factor.

In Bio-CBG production, gas yield depends on what goes inside the digester - the type of feedstock, its quality, moisture, biodegradability, and daily consistency.

Food waste, cow dung, press mud, and fibrous waste do not behave the same during anaerobic digestion. Each material has a different gas potential and digestion pattern.

That’s why feedstock selection is not just an input decision.

It directly affects plant efficiency, gas generation, and long-term performance.

The visit focused on Surat’s solid waste management practices and innovative initiatives that can be explored for implementation in Anekal.

Can raw gas from a digester be directly used through a pipeline?

Not directly.

Raw biogas contains impurities like H₂S and CO₂, which must be removed before use as they can affect pipelines, equipment, and long-term operations.

At Biofics, our patented i-VPSA purification technology is designed for continuous scrubbing and regeneration, helping improve gas quality while keeping operational costs efficient.

After purification, the gas can deliver up to 99.5% methane. It is then compressed up to 250 bar and filled into cascades for transportation to CNG stations or industrial use.
