When in the stormy Monsoon days, while everyone was caught up looking after their own needs, our brave rescuers climbed down into the pond to save Maya. Their tireless efforts paid off, and we're thrilled to see her safe and sound.

This cute golden yellow plume of feathers is a Golden Oriole, a sweetly singing bird rescued by Team Prayas at the onset of this year's stormy Monsoon. The poker face expression tells it all that the fledgling got her maiden flight canceled due to bad weather, but the refuge is under a safe airport at Team Prayas. Nursed back to strength in a week's time, she took a strong and determined flight back to the unlimited sky, where she truly belongs.!

Team Prayas rescued over 110 birds from a fallen tree in a joint rescue operation with Surat Fire Brigade.
Egrets and Cormorant birds make nests in large trees, and one such huge tree fell due to high winds and rain in the start of Monsoon in Jahangirpura area.
The babies and juvenile birds were take to safety with proper handling and will now be rehabilitated.

Introducing our dedicated new foster volunteer! Taking care of Rosy is the best part of her day. The bond they share is truly special. Her family witnessed her commitment, saying, “School thi aavi ne pellu kaam…Rosy ni care karvanu,”! How cute!
