Metropolitan Architectural Practices

The intricacies of designing a home for a joint family has its own charm. The brief was to use materials such as exposed concrete, exposed brick and terracotta in their purest forms. However, the overarching design theme was playing with patterns from Indian textiles such as Ikat and patola in different forms in the house such as flooring, or wall art, and upholstery.  Overall, we’ve designed this home keeping materiality in mind whilst paying an ode to the beauty and versatility of Indian textiles.

There’s something about a hand-drawn sketch that a 3D render just can’t capture. It’s where the soul of the project begins. For Nirvana Home, we wanted to create a balance between privacy and openness—notice how that vertical jali work plays with light while keeping the interiors cool?

Behind every project there is a series of thoughtful and contextual decision making. From the initial concept to the final architectural ex*****on, we meticulously plan every detail and deliver not just a home, but a sanctuary for the family.

Ar. Miten Patel believes that great design doesn’t need to be loud to be impactful. By focusing on a user-centric approach, he transforms residences, resorts, and hospitals into spaces that feel as good as they look.
