 Although Haze Kay had been performing and releasing music since 2009 , he caught media attention when his track “Aazadi” which was released during the 2010 unrest was brought down as it talked about the brutality of the forces. Though this episode didn’t have the outcome Haze Kay expected , he managed to influence a breed of local rappers who are now using music as an instrument to shed light on the biased culture of the media responsible for reporting the truth . Having been an active voice of Kashmir he has released tracks like “Destiny” , “Article 370” , “6th January 1993 the massacre” which talk about specific brutalities and episodes of violence witnessed by the people of Kashmir.
