Aga Syed Hassan Al-Moosavi Al-Safavi, also known as Agha Syed Hassan Mosavi, is a prominent Shia religious scholar and community leader from Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He is associated with the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Jammu & Kashmir and has also been active in social and political affairs concerning Kashmir.
Early life and family
According to biographical material published by the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian network, Aga Syed Hassan was born on 5 March 1956. He belongs to the prominent Moosavi Al-Safavi family of Budgam, which traces its religious lineage to Mir Syed Mohammad Shams-ud-din Mosavi Iraqi, a major early figure in the development of the Shia tradition in Kashmir.

Aga Syed Hassan Al Moosavi.

Maulana Iftikhar Hussain Ansari (26 April 1942 – 30 September 2014).
Widely known as ( Moulvi Soob) among followers. He was a prominent Kashmiri Shia cleric, politician, businessman, and religious leader from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

Key Background
He was a leading figure in the Shia community in Kashmir and served as President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association for life (succeeding his father, Molvi Muhammad Jawad Ansari, in 1962). He was also Chairman of the Imam Hussain A.S. Charitable Trust and involved with educational initiatives under the association.

He studied at Sultanul Madaris in Lucknow and at the Hawza in Najaf (Iraq). He was a Wakil (representative) of Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and had earlier been associated with Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. He was known as a powerful orator, especially for majlis sermons (notably on the night of 11th Muharram, Shame-e-Ghareeba).

He was a proponent of the Grand Ashura Procession in Kashmir and maintained connections with other Shia scholars.

Syed Mohammad Fazlullah (1947–2018) was a prominent Kashmiri Shia scholar and cleric, widely respected for his leadership and advocacy for Muslim unity .

# # #· Leadership & Family: He was the eldest son of Ayatollah Aga Syed Yusuf, founder of the Anjuman Sharie Shiaan . From 1982, he headed the organization and was succeeded by his son, Aga Syed Mohammad Hadi .
· Background: Born in Budgam, he studied in Najaf (Iraq) and Qom (Iran), and continued his father's tradition of presiding over a Sharia court .

# # Syed Mohammad Baqir Al-Moosavi Al-Najafi was a prominent Shia Islamic scholar, theologian, preacher, author and religious leader from Budgam, Kashmir. He was regarded as one of the important members of the Agha family, which has a long religious and scholarly tradition in Kashmir.
Religious education
His early religious education was received at Babul Ilm in Budgam, where he studied subjects including the Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic sciences. He later travelled to Najaf, Iraq, to pursue advanced studies at the Hawza Ilmiyya of Najaf, one of the major centres of Shia Islamic scholarship.
In Najaf, he studied Islamic jurisprudence and other theological sciences under recognised scholars. His studies developed his expertise in fiqh, theology, philosophy and Islamic thought.

Maulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari was a prominent Kashmiri Shia religious scholar, orator, politician and social figure. He was widely known among his followers as “Molvi Sahib.” He played an important role in the religious and political life of the Shia community of Jammu and Kashmir.
He belonged to the Ansari family of Kashmir, a family with a long association with Islamic and Shia religious scholarship. His father had been an important religious leader in the community.
Religious education
Ansari received both modern and religious education. His documented educational background included
B.A. from Lucknow University, completed in 1964.
Postgraduate theological education from Sultanul Madaris, Lucknow, also completed in 1964.
He subsequently pursued higher Islamic studies in Najaf, Iraq, where he studied Islamic theology and jurisprudence under prominent scholars. Sources also report that he studied Islamic theology in Iran, Egypt and Iraq.
His religious education established him as an important scholar and preacher in Kashmir.
