Sopore Police Conducts Cyber Awareness Programme at Watergam; Organizes Thana Diwas at PS Sopore and PS Dangiwacha*

: SSP Jammu Joginder Singh held a meeting with All Stakeholders of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra to Ensure its Smooth Conduct, and Good Coordination Among the Forces. All Zonal SPs, representatives of Army, CRPF, BSF, SSB, ITBP and CISF were present.

Food Safety Officer, Sopore conducted a market inspection at Warpora, Sopore to assess compliance with food safety regulations. During the inspection, samples of milk and juice were lifted for laboratory analysis.

Café owners and shopkeepers were directed to maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards, ensure safe food handling practices, and comply with the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act. The inspection was aimed at safeguarding public health and promoting food safety awareness among food business operators.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu and Raised Concerns Regarding the Proposed Closure of Srinagar Airport from 1-16 October for Maintenance Works.

Emphasising the importance of uninterrupted air connectivity to the Valley during the peak tourism season, he urged that the maintenance schedule be reviewed and, if feasible, shortened, phased, or shifted to a leaner travel window. The Chief Minister also suggested operating a limited number of civilian flights from Awantipora Air Base during the closure period to ensure continued connectivity for residents, tourists and businesses.

Honourable MLA Sopore, Irshad Rasool Kar, visited Kanir Chadoora Badgan today to offer his heartfelt condolences to Mr Shabir Ahmad Raina, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sopore, and his family on the tragic and untimely demise of his beloved son, Tahseen Shabir Raina.

On the occasion, the MLA expressed profound grief and sorrow over the irreparable loss and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. He also conveyed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and patience for them to bear this immense loss.
