Indian nationals working full-time in Germany earn the highest median monthly salaries among all nationalities, according to a German Economic Institute analysis based on 2024 employment data.
The study found that Indian workers earn a gross median wage of $6,300 per month, higher than those in Austria, the US, and Germany.
German nationals earn a median of $4,890, while all foreign workers earn $3,750.
Researchers linked the wage gap to the strong presence of Indians in high-skilled STEM and academic roles.
Demand for specialised talent continues to drive higher pay for Indian professionals in Germany.
