ws2812b programmed on microchip microcontroller pic18f25k42 with input from a microphone through opamp lm324. It is supposed to response to audio frequency.

RGB LEDs WS2812b with PIC16F18313 through it's CLC peripheral. The LEDs pattern occupies the whole ROM - 2KB.

Non Contact AC detector.

Here is a simple circuit implementation for detecting AC voltage by cascading a couple of transistor. It is a very simple circuit and is available all over the internet.
Now a days it seems most multimeter come with this functionality. I build this circuit back in September 2019 before I got a multimeter with this functionality. And there are reputable brands that build these type of devices (far better). But the circuitry is so simple and I believe it is an important tool for anyone working with electrical wiring (repairs).

How to convert old laptop web cam to USB camera.

You would need an old dead laptop with a we**am and a USB type A, preferably ver 2 for easier wiring. I have an old laptop which I have been using for close to nine years till its inbuilt graphics failed last year. I haven't disposed it beause I'm trying salvage as many components from it as possible. So, the procedure is pretty straight forward. Take out the camera module, which is located at the top of the laptop screen. In my case there are six wires, but we will need only four power and data. Check the video below for more
