It was the day of our last practical exam of final proffesional examination of MBBS course in year 2014. At that evening, a local goon turned politician harrased few of my juniors and batchmates over a petty issue. On resisting, he along with his henchmen assaulted those guys. On the same night, the local police force along with those goons entered in our hostels and beat up all the medical students. They were targetting every single guy who were coming in their way. Most of them managed to escape expect a very few, who were arrested on grounds of fake and serious criminal charges. It was followed by nationwise protests which ended up with nothing.
The medical students who got arrested faced something which they might never get over with.
I always wanted to be an orthopaedic surgeon. But after that day I decided something,
1. I would never take any clinical branch.
2. I would never ever work in a government hospital.
3. I would never let my child opt for medicine. Even if he/she does, I would never let them practice in this country.
This country just deserves quacks and not qualified doctors.
