Within 24 hours of the reporting of a dacoity case registered at Chhend PS vide Case No. 153 dated 30.05.2026 U/s 310(2) BNS, Rourkela Police successfully apprehended 05 accused persons involved in the crime.
During the investigation, the following were recovered and seized:

🚨 NBW Ex*****on by Tikayatpali Police Station
Tikayatpali PS successfully executed 06 Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) in connection with G.R. Case Nos. 402/2009, 207/2018, and 138/2010. All six accused persons were apprehended and forwarded to the Hon’ble Court.

On reliable information, Plantsite PS night patrolling team led by SI B B Khatei, took prompt and proactive action and apprehended 5 armed criminals near Congress Bhawan, Nayabazar, Rourkela, while they were preparing to commit a dacoity. 02 iron rods, 01 Bhujali (Kati), and 02 iron swords were seized from their possession. A major crime was averted. All accused persons have been forwarded to the Court.

B.Tarang PS team successfully rescued a minor missing boy in connection with PS Case No. 290 Dt 21.05.2026 U/s-137(2) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita . After completion of all due legal procedures, the child was safely handed over to his legal guardian.

On the eve of the 75th edition of the “Sundays on Cycle” campaign, Rourkela Police organized a vibrant Cycle Rally under the leadership of Hon’ble DIGP WR, Rourkela and Hon’ble SP, Rourkela. The rally commenced from District Police Office, Uditnagar and concluded successfully at RO, Rourkela, spreading the message of fitness, environmental awareness, and community participation through cycling.

🚨 Cyber Fraud Racket Busted by Rourkela Police 🚨

B.Tarang Police successfully busted an ATM fraud racket involved in targeting senior citizens and innocent ATM users in Rourkela. The accused persons used glue inside ATM card slots and pasted fake helpline numbers at ATM counters to cheat people and steal money from their bank accounts.

The accused were found involved in multiple cyber fraud cases across Rourkela. During investigation, police seized:

▪️ Cash ₹10,000

Further investigation is underway. Rourkela Police appeals citizens to never share ATM PINs or banking details with strangers.

🚨 Major Crackdown Under “NASHA MUKTA ODISHA DRIVE” 🚨

In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Plantsite Police, Rourkela busted an active Brown Sugar racket during a special raid conducted at Meenapada, Mahatab Road on the morning of 23.05.2026. A total of 08 accused persons were arrested for illegal possession and sale of contraband He**in (Brown Sugar).
