Congrats to Praneeth Rao on his recent publication in . This research highlights a simple sustainable method for greatly active Anisotropic Au NPs with high-energy facets for catalysis as well as Metal Enhanced Fluorescence and Singlet Oxygen generation applications.
Microwave-Assisted One-pot Synthesis of Anisotropic Gold Nanoparticles with Active High-Energy Facets for Enhanced Catalytic and Metal Enhanced Fluorescence Activities - CrystEngComm (RSC Publishing) A simple sustainable method has been reported for the synthesis of highly active Au nanoparticles (NPs) having sharp edges and corners using oxalic acid as a reducing agent. Different chloroauric acid to oxalic acid mixing ratios were studied and found that 1:3 ratio gives better structures with hig...

It’s pleasure to share our latest research paper on Ag NPs deposited urchin-like nanostructures published in . It describes a simple and visible-light induced approach for deposition of ~5 nm Ag NPs with featured nano-gaps to improve SERS performance. Congrats to Rahul Purbia and Prem Depan nayak.
Visible Light-Induced Ag Nanoparticles Deposited Urchin-like Structures for Enhanced SERS Application - Nanoscale (RSC Publishing) A simple and new fabrication method of Ag nanoparticles deposited “urchin-like” structures has been reported by the visible light-induced approach. As-synthesized structures show deposition of ~5 nm sized Ag nanoparticles with nanogaps, which can generate highly enhanced electromagnetic fields f...

An Au/AgBr–Ag heterostructure plasmonic photocatalyst with enhanced catalytic activity under visible light - Dalton Transactions (RSC Publishing) This study reports an easy synthesis protocol of a novel bimetallic silver halide (Au/AgBr–Ag) plasmonic heterostructure as a visible light induced photocatalyst. In this process, first CTAB capped Au NPs were coated with AgBr, and then Ag nanoparticles were formed on the surface of AgBr by photored...
