126 Bn CRPF Conducts Plantation Drive Near Chenab Bridge on World Environment Day

Reasi, June 5: On the occasion of World Environment Day, 126 Bn CRPF organized a plantation drive near the iconic Chenab Bridge in the Bakal-Kouri area of Reasi district.

The programme was led by Shri Manoj Verma, CO, 126 Bn CRPF, along with CRPF personnel and local participants. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and urged people to plant more trees for a cleaner and greener future.

During the drive, saplings of various species were planted, and participants pledged to protect the environment and promote greenery in their surroundings.

The initiative reflected the commitment of 126 Bn CRPF towards environmental sustainability and raising awareness about the need to preserve nature for future generations.

ARTO Reasi Issues Revised Mini-Bus Fare List

Reasi, June 1: The Office of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Reasi, has notified revised fare rates for mini buses operating on various routes in the district following the fare revision approved by the State Transport Authority (STA).

According to the notification, the updated fares have been implemented in accordance with STA Notification No. 01P-MVD of 2026 dated April 30, 2026. The revised fare chart includes the following major routes:

Reasi to Arnas – ₹50

Reasi to Kouri – ₹69

Reasi to Dharmari – ₹74

Reasi to Mahore – ₹106

Mahore to Angrala – ₹26

Mahore to Sungri – ₹45

Mahore to Chassana – ₹55

Mahore to Bagga – ₹20

Mahore to Budhan – ₹42

Mahore to Jamslan – ₹18

Mahore to Bathoi – ₹26

Mahore to Budhal – ₹93

Sungri to Kundhran – ₹26

The Transport Department has directed all mini-bus operators to strictly adhere to the revised fare structure. Any complaint regarding overcharging of passengers may attract action under the relevant transport regulations.

The notification has been circulated to the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, and the President of the Mini Bus Union Reasi for information and compliance.

सफाई कर्मचारियों ने निकाली रोष रैली, स्थायी नियुक्ति की मांग उठाई

रियासी, 2 जून: अपनी विभिन्न मांगों को लेकर सफाई कर्मचारियों ने आज रियासी में रोष रैली निकालकर प्रशासन के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। रैली में बड़ी संख्या में कर्मचारियों ने भाग लिया और अपनी मांगों के समर्थन में जोरदार नारेबाजी की।

प्रदर्शन कर रहे कर्मचारियों का कहना था कि वे लंबे समय से सफाई सेवाएं दे रहे हैं, लेकिन अभी तक उन्हें स्थायी नहीं किया गया है। उन्होंने सरकार और प्रशासन से मांग की कि उनकी सेवाओं को नियमित करते हुए उन्हें स्थायी कर्मचारी का दर्जा दिया जाए।

कर्मचारियों ने कहा कि स्थायी नियुक्ति के अभाव में उन्हें कई समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। उन्होंने मांग की कि उनकी नौकरी को सुरक्षित बनाया जाए तथा उन्हें अन्य कर्मचारियों की तरह सभी सुविधाएं प्रदान की जाएं।

रोष रैली शहर के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से होकर गुजरी, जहां कर्मचारियों ने अपनी मांगों को लेकर आवाज बुलंद की। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने चेतावनी दी कि यदि उनकी मांगों पर जल्द सकारात्मक कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो वे अपने आंदोलन को और तेज करने पर मजबूर होंगे।

सफाई कर्मचारियों ने प्रशासन से उनकी मांगों पर गंभीरता से विचार कर जल्द उचित निर्णय लेने की अपील की।

MLA Nagrota Devyani Singh Rana Addresses Matrushakti Sammelan at Reasi Auditorium

Reasi: MLA Nagrota, Devyani Singh Rana, addressed the Matrushakti Sammelan organized by Saksham at the Auditorium in Reasi, highlighting the crucial role of women in nation-building and social development.

Speaking on the occasion, she emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment through education, self-reliance, and active participation in society. She said that mothers play a vital role in shaping future generations and strengthening the moral fabric of the nation.

DM Reasi Reviews NCORD Measures, Stresses Coordinated Action Against Drug Abuse

Reasi, May 29: District Magistrate Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, chaired a meeting of the District Level Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) to review enforcement measures and initiatives aimed at curbing drug abuse and strengthening the implementation of the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan in the district.

Reviewing measures against the illegal cultivation of poppy and cannabis, the District Magistrate directed the Divisional Forest Officers of Reasi and Mahore to conduct extensive inspections and ensure the detection and destruction of any such crops. He emphasized strict action against offenders and accountability at all levels.

To strengthen prevention efforts, he instructed trained counsellors to conduct regular awareness and counselling sessions in schools and colleges to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Tehsildars were also directed to enhance coordination with Mahila Nigrani Samitis and ensure their active involvement in grassroots monitoring.

The District Magistrate directed the Health Department to ensure the timely completion and operationalisation of the Drug De-addiction Centre. He also reviewed the availability and effective utilisation of drug testing kits.

During the meeting, the Drug Inspector reported the seizure of certain medical shops found violating prescribed protocols. Taking serious note of the issue, the District Magistrate ordered intensified inspections and strict monitoring of medical shops across the district.

He also reviewed the status of cancellation of driving licences of individuals involved in drug-related offences and directed the installation of CCTV cameras at identified hotspots to strengthen surveillance and curb illegal activities.

Reviewing awareness initiatives under the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, the District Magistrate instructed Block Development Officers to organise awareness programmes in Panchayats and blocks with wider public participation. He further directed that padyatras be conducted in all Panchayats and blocks, especially in areas where such activities have not yet been organised.

Anganwadi workers were asked to intensify outreach efforts and maximise public awareness regarding the dangers of drug abuse. Schools and colleges were also directed to organise regular awareness and community outreach programmes.

To strengthen monitoring of suspicious activities, the District Magistrate directed the Postal Department to prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for identifying and reporting suspicious courier consignments for timely action by concerned agencies.
