*Rajouri Police Seize Four vehicles Involved in Illegal Mining in Sunderbani and Rajouri*

In a significant action against illegal mining, Rajouri Police have seized four vehicles found carrying sand/gravel suspected to have been extracted through illegal mining and without any Valid document. The seized vehicles are:

1. JK11D7448 (tractor trolley, seized at Naka Sunderbani)
2. JK11G6025 (tractor trolley, seized at Naka Sunderbani)
3. JK11J7429 (Tipper, seized at Naka Workshop, Rajouri)
4. JK02CS9810 (dumper, seized at Naka Workshop, Rajouri)

The legal action has been initiated under the relevant provisions of the law.

In a significant action against illegal mining, *Police Station Thanamandi* seized four tipper vehicles found carrying sand/gravel suspected to have been extracted through illegal mining and without any Valid document. The seized vehicles are:

*Rajouri Police Bust Illegal Liquor Manufacturing Unit, Seize Illicit Liquor and Lahan in Dharamsal*

In action against the illegal manufacture and sale of liquor, *Police Station Dharamsal* has busted an illicit liquor manufacturing unit at Village Channi.

During search the police team recovered and seized 5 litres of illicit desi liquor, 10 litres of lahan and other equipment used for the illegal distillation of liquor.

In connection with the recovery, one accused *Puran Singh* has been booked in FIR No. 78/2026 under Sections 48(a), 48(b) and 48(e) of the Excise Act of PS Dharamsal. Further investigation is underway.

*Rajouri Police Foils Bovine Smuggling Bid; 22 Bovine Animals Rescued In Chingus Area*

Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, Police Party of PP Chingus laid a special naka at Dhanwan.

During checking Dumper bearing registration No. JK02DH-5425 coming from the Nowshera side towards Kashmir was intercepted at the naka point. On noticing the police party the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot. During the search of the vehicle the police rescued 22 bovine animals which were found tied in a cruel manner and being transported without the requisite permission from the District Magistrate.

In this connection a Case FIR No. 396/2026 under Sections 223 BNS and 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri.

Rajouri Police remains committed to taking strict action against those involved in illegal bovine smuggling.

*Rajouri Police Arrest Drug Peddler with 2 Kg G***a in Nowshera*

In its sustained drive against drug trafficking, Rajouri Police achieved success by arresting a drug peddler and recovering approx 2 Kg of G***a like narcotic substance in the Nowshera area.

During routine naka checking at Thalka Naka under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowshera Police Party noticed individual who attempted to flee,the alert police personnel apprehended him. During his personal search, approx 2 Kg of G***a like narcotic substance was recovered from his possession.

The accused has been identified as *Anwar Hussain S/o Mohd Yasin R/o Palma District Rajouri.*

In this connection a Case FIR No. 151/2026 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera, and the accused has been arrested. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the contraband and to identify any forward or backward linkages.

Rajouri Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and urges the public to share any information related to drug trafficking so that the menace can be eradicated through collective efforts.

*Rajouri Police Booked Habitual Drug Peddler Under PIT-NDPS Act*

Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking, *Police Station Nowshera* has executed a detention warrant under PIT-NDPS Act against a Habitual Drug Peddler.

The accused *Gagandeep Sharma S/O Mangat Ram R/O Ward No 09 Near Old Shiv Mandir Nowshera District Rajouri* is a habitual offender involved in multiple cases under the NDPS Act. Despite involved in multiple narcotics-related cases he continued to engage in the illicit trafficking of drugs.

Considering his repeated involvement in drug-related offences and with a view to preventing him from continuing such illegal activities, a detention order under the PIT-NDPS Act was obtained from the competent authority.

After completing all mandatory legal formalities, Police Station Nowshera executed the detention warrant and the detenu was subsequently lodged in the District Jail.

District Police Rajouri remains steadfast in its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and reiterates its commitment to taking stringent legal action against drug peddlers and all those involved in the narcotics trade, with the aim of making the district drug-free.

*Rajouri Police Recover 6 Grams of He**in Like Narcotic Substance; Two Drug Peddlers Arrested in Nowshera*

In a significant action against drug trafficking, Nowshera Police achieved a major success during routine patrolling and checking.During checking two persons identified as:

1. *Jatinder Kumar S/o Parshotam Lal R/o Peeri Tehsil Kotranka*
2. *Amit Sharma S/o Jagdish Kumar R/o Ryan Tehsil Kotranka* were intercepted. During their search, approx 6 grams of he**in like narcotic substance was recovered from their possession.

Both accused persons were arrested on the spot and the contraband was seized. In this regard a Case FIR No. 144/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera, and further investigation is underway.

District Police Rajouri reiterates its firm commitment to eradicating the drug menace. Strict legal action against drug peddlers shall continue.

*Major Drug Trafficking Network Busted: Rajouri Police Seize 88 Grams of He**in-Like Narcotic Substance; Two Persons Arrested in Nowshera*

In a significant action against drug trafficking, Nowshera Police achieved a major success during routine naka checking at Dandesar on NHW-144A busting a major drug trafficking operation.During the checking Swift Dzire bearing Registration No. JK12D-1247 was intercepted. The two accused were identified as:

1. *Vijinder Singh S/o Satinder Pal Singh R/o Poonch*
2. *Asif Nawaz S/o Kabir Din R/o Poonch*

During their personal search 88 grams of he**in like narcotic substance was recovered from their possession. Both accused persons were arrested on the spot and the recovered contraband was seized.

In this connection a Case FIR No. 142/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera, and further investigation is underway to uncover the entire drug trafficking network and identify other persons involved.

*Rajouri Police Arrest Theft Accused, Recover Stolen Cash and Other Articles in Kandi*

Acting on the information received at *Police Station Kandi* arrested Accused *Showkat Ali S/O Mohd Shafi Caste Gujjar resident of Kunderdhan Tehsil ChassanaDistrict Reasi* in connection with Case FIR No. 94/2026 under Sections 331(4)/305 BNS of PS Kandi.

During the course of investigation on the disclosure of the accused Team of Kandi Police Station recovered and seized ₹15,250 in stolen cash, a bank receipt evidencing the deposit of ₹10,000 out of the stolen money along with other stolen articles.

The recovery was made in connection with the theft committed at Kali Mata Mandir Mandirgala Koteranka. Further investigation into the case is in progress.

Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, *Police Station Nowshera* has arrested drug peddler and recovered approx 3.16 grams of he**in like narcotic substance from his possession.During routine checking at Dandesar on NHW-144A Swift car bearing registration number JK11B-0021 was intercepted by the Police Party. The vehicle was being driven by *Mohd Amir Farooq S/o Farooq Bhat R/o Rajouri.*

During his personal search approx 3.16 grams of he**in like narcotic substance was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and the recovered contraband was seized as per the prescribed legal procedure.

In this regard a Case FIR No. 141/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and possible backward and forward linkages of the seized narcotics.
